Was just a brief overview of approaches to stop City! Other suggestions comment below! ⬇
feel havertz will be very important in this game. His linkup and holdup play will be huge. a 5-3-2 is perfect for the game like i said James
Don’t you think a back 4 with a double pivot, 2 defensive wingers and a Deep lying forward.
I think they’ll want to play us through the middle.
I really hope that Odegaard doesn't rush back from injury. We can see how important he is for our success. It's more important for him to be consistently available in the future. Even if we were to struggle mightily in this stretch without him.
i fear that saka will have to carry a huge amount of the creative burden that ødegaard's absence will impose upon the team. trossard will have to start this game ahead of martinelli on the left as well, this isn't a game we can afford to attempt to play him back into form
Trossard isn't as good when he starts and martinelli can offer defence.
Martinelli is the only winger we got to protect our defence and he can win you a game on a counter easily against man city slow defenders only that he has made wrong decesions for the past 5 games
Martinelli should definitely start. His pace can help us breath from the amount of pressing city would do.
Martinelli wilk finally have his first goal against city this weekend
I don’t care if we have 30% possession and half the shots. If we can keep a clean sheet, it’s a big statement - guarantees arsenal have the best defence in the league. No Odegaard means we should focus on counter attacking. Defend like Trojans and break on them. Martienlli… should be dropped
Excellent insight! 🤓
Haaland may or may not be in the best form of his career, difficult to say until he faces a decent defence that's set up to keep him out, like ours will be. He certainly will be oozing a massive amount of confidence in front of goal, we just need our defence to stand up and repel him, which is what Saliba and Gabriel do best and they are oozing with confidence themselves.
I think from the last two games we can keep a clean sheet even against City.
I think we'll play the long ball game, over the top and away. Put 3 from Saka/Sterling/Trossard/Jesus/Martinelli across the front line and hook it over to either of them and we'll be in. Rice, Havertz and Jorginho can keep the midfield tight and help in defence.
White, Saliba, Gabriel and Calafiori is a great back line against City.
You should start managing a club you seem to know so well 😂
Don't let Pep see this.
We beat them all those years ago with 5 at the back. We have the players for it, not sure why we wouldn’t do that.
We beat them all those years ago with 5 at the back. We have the players for it, not sure why we wouldn’t do that. My team would be:
Raya
Timber White Saliba Gabriel Calafiori
Partey
Rice Trossard
Saka
Havertz
Unfortunately I think city will win 1-0. Unless our players are creative and decisive
same team as last week + 2 changes
Calafiori for timber -> mostly for unpredictability
rice for partey . Partey has been useless.
Keep Martinelli and Saka in wing, havertz top
Still 2 points off top. 😂 Terrorists never win at the end. City needs to save football 🤞
5-3-2 raya white saliba gabriel timber rice jorginho calafiori saka havertz trossard
Arteta shd play rice, partey and nwaneri to offer that attacking option
Park the bus and prey is assna strategy
Thomas partey… the only weakness in that defense. Expect city to target and isolate him
predict a 0-0
Honestly, without Odegaard we’re essentially premium version of Stoke City.
No man, that’s silly.
Move on
