Arsenal were known to be the most entertaining team to watch in the league and at least you could say that, "yeah, they don't win anything, but the football is spectacular and they're fun to watch". Also, in order for JoseBall to work your team needs ELITE mentality and we know Arsenal are known bottlejobs who lack the character to push and get over the line. That's why they haven't won any major trophy in the last 20 years (4 FA Cups in 20 years... lol)
Simply put, no Ødegaard. Kicking long against Brighton/Spurs was tactical, yesterday was just no Ødegaard and not wanting to throw in a 17 year old into the the Champions League. I think if we bring in Sterling and Nwaneri things change but maybe that's just me
Don’t really understand this age excuse. Yamal tearing up world football, Mainoo already United best midfielder. If you’re good enough you’re old enough. I can’t see how he can be worse than Havertz in that role.
@@ThePythagorasPerspective I would've played Nwaneri but think about it. It's the UCL and how many 17 year olds start in that competition? Very few 17 year olds are starters in general and the expectations placed on his shoulders from the fans would be immense. I don't think it's fair to say that him not starting is crazy, I think he should but I don't think it's crazy he isn't.
The issue isn't age. Nwaneri is a special talent but the midfield positions at arsenal (all roles if you think about it) require a great deal of familiarity of how arsenal behave in and out of possession, always knowing where to be in each situation and what to do. The young players may have the talent and skill, but it may be too presumptuous to assume they can adequately fill in for the senior players and play seamlessly in a makeshift midfield structure with the same level of decision making and positional discipline as the more experienced players. Nwaneri and Skelley may provide some more energy and attacking impetus, but their inexperience in playing within the structures Arsenal adopt during attacking and defensive phases as well as in adjusting to different game states can lead to momentary weaknesses for experienced and well drilled teams like Atalanta to exploit.
the problem that was stated in the video is not the defence it's actually the attack so thinking city can score 4 against this defence that has conceded only 3 goals in their last 12 away games is stupidity at its finest
These comments are hilarious. Arteta does not need to prove anything to anyone. His team has scored more goals than all the other teams outside of City in the last 2 seasons. Everyone knows when Arsenal are good attacking wise we just blow teams away. So he is obviously CHOOSING to play this way and people are rattled.
@@Nkabi_ZA In terms of getting trophies yes but he does not need to prove how good his team is. People have had 2 years worth of performances to know that. That is what I mean.
Not watched video yet, but Personally i think arsenal just playing like stoke but with better players managers. Basically alot of defender's, play for set pieces, lot of time wasting, diving for freekicks and making the game stop start when other team gains momentum and really good at constant pressure when going right for them. I dont know the stats, but ill think fair few there goals is from corners or freekicks
Yeah, Arsenal were the 4th best team at scoring set pieces last season... but they also scored the most open play goals in the league, so that's kind of nonsense. As far as time wasting is concerned, they have been pretty much exactly middle of the road last season, definitely nowhere near the real time wasting teams like Newcastle or Brentford. Diving is really kind of a tribal narrative thing, I am not saying that Arsenal are some kind of a team of saints, but all teams dive, if anything the issue with Saka, who is the Arsenal player that gets fouled the most is that he actually tries to ride the challenges instead of going down with the contact for the pen a bit too much. People are just reading too much into a small sample of two tough away games in a row with 3/3 and 2/3 starting midfielders out and the other players in the squad who could actually help supplement ball progression through passing (Zinchenko), carrying (Califiori) or a bit of both (Sterling) also out or coming back from injuries/inactivity so they weren't fit to start. Nobody will remember this 3 game stretch by the time they get to play the bad teams (Forest, WHU, MUTD, Fulham etc.) in late November and December and beating them all easily.
Top comment is the perfect example of how half truths mixed in with tons of lies can affect perception. Arsenal are defensive yes but they don't employ any of those tactics u mentioned.
@charles9489 yes they do. Any time they start getting under pressure they start going down easy winning nothing fouls, breaking game up, going down hurt etc It's "diving" not as in cheating
Arsenal has become pre-Haaland City, "great" style of play with a lot of movement and a stupid obsession with having the ball without without creating any real threats. A bit better defensively but of course that will happen when you have a back 4 with 3 or even 4 CBs.

@muhammadmtv7236 During the treble winning season pep's city had sat back on numerous occasions voluntarily. This was one of the talking points during the season where city had so much tactical flexibility where if city needed to control a game or had to face pacy players many different tactics were employed. Genuinely, I think this is a great analysis! Big up, Pythag 👍
Leao never scored more than 15 league goals and you backing him.😂😂😂
Martinelli is better finisher than Leao, and he us in premier league the most physical and tactical league in the world.
Leao is playing for a weak side, Martinelli playing in one of the most talented and best coached sides in the world. Playing in a side where Saka can absorb attention freeing him up.
But how come we rarely see city's fbs overlap to support their wingers? I think thats what Mikel too is doing
I hope it clicks on sunday so i can feast like on villa win 😂. Its pathetic to watch them sit back with 6 man at back. Saka was at RB 😂 what a small club. Id rather Liverpool win if it isnt us
Everywhere rubbishing Arsenal. Real played same way vs City. Are they small?? The small club is city and you know it
@@firstlane7695Arsenal played like this against Atalanta and Spurs not only against City
Because LegoHead wants to be Pep SO BAD, constantly reinventing the wheel and thinking he's a genius coach. That's why they haven't won any major trophy in the last 20 years (4 FA Cups in 20 years... lol)
Beautiful football didn't get us much did it? We trust this team and how they decide to play
Disrespecting Ben White's ball play?🤔
You just mid analyst 😂😂😂
So Ben White is as good as Dani Alves?
Excellent analysis! You earned a new subscriber 👍
Welcome aboard!
What about sterling function for u ? I am curious
No wonder I feel so refreshed after atalanta
Arsenal is only praised for their defending for good reasons
@@Abc123ert56I mean rico lewis did it and scored on his ucl debut
@@yourdailyjoe3155 and Foden played as in the UCL as well but that's the luxury of being City
And issues being an arsenal hater
The Chorizo Alan Curbishley!
I think city will thrash this harmaball tactics as well. Pep always find solutions, hoping for 4-0
It is a tactic which has worked against City but not sure you can keep using it week in week out
the problem that was stated in the video is not the defence it's actually the attack so thinking city can score 4 against this defence that has conceded only 3 goals in their last 12 away games is stupidity at its finest
Arteta is just a Spanish Sean Dyche.
Yet somehow managed a team that scored 91 goals last season...
Bro some people don't know what they are saying bro they just talk without using any brains@@TheKh65
@@TheKh65Odegaard .
@@Don-Royall yes, Odegaard scored all 91 goals...
Arteta is so good people calling him boring when arsenal drew other teams
great video man
Appreciate it!
a winger-like FB would be like nitrous in this team
They sent Vieira out on loan for... some reason???
These comments are hilarious. Arteta does not need to prove anything to anyone. His team has scored more goals than all the other teams outside of City in the last 2 seasons. Everyone knows when Arsenal are good attacking wise we just blow teams away. So he is obviously CHOOSING to play this way and people are rattled.
Arteta has spent over 800m and only one an FA cup of course he has to prove himself to everyone
@@Nkabi_ZA In terms of getting trophies yes but he does not need to prove how good his team is. People have had 2 years worth of performances to know that. That is what I mean.
First Bro is adding players to buy in September second leao? I left after I saw leao very overrated player
No one mention buying players in September.
Yes
Possesion football is boring
Not watched video yet, but Personally i think arsenal just playing like stoke but with better players managers.
Basically alot of defender's, play for set pieces, lot of time wasting, diving for freekicks and making the game stop start when other team gains momentum and really good at constant pressure when going right for them.
I dont know the stats, but ill think fair few there goals is from corners or freekicks
Time wasting and diving, that's some accusations
@antifocus it's just common game control which they're really really good at
@charles9489 yes they do. Any time they start getting under pressure they start going down easy winning nothing fouls, breaking game up, going down hurt etc
It's "diving" not as in cheating
Arsenal has become pre-Haaland City, "great" style of play with a lot of movement and a stupid obsession with having the ball without without creating any real threats. A bit better defensively but of course that will happen when you have a back 4 with 3 or even 4 CBs.
This arsenal have almost nothing to do with pre-haaland city, it is more like to 04-05 chelsea
@muhammadmtv7236 No it's like the season city signed ruben dias a couple seasons before haaland where city looked so good defensively reaching the ucl final.
Referring to when they play with odegaard
@@yourdailyjoe3155 actually I don't remember even one time that city under pep, sit deep "voluntarily", arsenal have done it many times in last two seasons, pep always have had a obsession with possession, his idea is to control the game by maintaining possession, arteta mainly do the same but he is not afraid to sit deep give the ball to opposition, and find the space behind opposition's centre backs.
@muhammadmtv7236 During the treble winning season pep's city had sat back on numerous occasions voluntarily. This was one of the talking points during the season where city had so much tactical flexibility where if city needed to control a game or had to face pacy players many different tactics were employed.
Examples being against arsenal (3:1) city sat back with even bernardo silva playing left back. City played balls completely bypassing arsenal's midfield.
Then there was the away game at the aloanz arena.
When I was referring to arsenal playing like city in 2020/21, I was referring to when odegaard plays
@@yourdailyjoe3155 I remember that game vividly, that game City didn't sit deep, even third goal was by a turn over high up the pitch, when arsenal defenders lost it.
First half arsenal was playing really good in possession and they made city to sit deep.
Although this kind of debate has no end, because we're discussing opinions.
This team is supposed to win BAYERN 😂😂😂 Remember this joke.
Arsenal will go trophyless again ffs
I get Arsenal fans complaining, but reading neutrals and oppositional fans complaining is ridiculous. 😂 you claimed that it took 70+ minutes for Arsenal to make a chance, which is false. Martinelli had a chance almost identical to the one you highlighted in the first 15 minutes when cut into the box from the left. Why are you bringing up Merino as an option like he isn't currently injured?
Finally, someone who sees it all
Arsenal are boring to watch,I feel sleepy when arsenal are playing
😂😂😂
