It's not everyday you not only have a performance that so perfectly captures such exuberant energetic glee as this, but also see an actor so clearly and genuinely enjoy playing a role. I'm surprised to see the russian voice actor who voiced Livesey. I originally only watched the American version. The russian version does sound more like the actor is really enjoying the role laughing all the way through.
Only he is not a Russian actor, but a Ukrainian one, and the cartoon was created by the Kyiv studio Kyivnauchfilm.

I love how happy he looks. He must be thrilled knowing that an old character he played so long ago has suddenly become so popular!
It's not everyday you not only have a performance that so perfectly captures such exuberant energetic glee as this, but also see an actor so clearly and genuinely enjoy playing a role. You can fake exuberant glee - it's part of the job. But you can tell when it's faked. It's part of the suspension of disbelief. This man truly sincerely *loves* playing Dr. Livesey, and who can blame him? He's such a strong character.
What I'm saying is, this is just plain blessed content.
I was watching the original dub and expecting like horrible dub, but despite not understanding what he said I just could feel like his voice acting was out of this world! Like the Finnish dub in Aladdin

Советская школа дубляжа одна из самых лучших. Дубляж это отдельный вид искусства. Не все актеры могут справиться. Ведь душу мультфильму должен дать голос. Даже хорошие актеры не все способны на это. Паперный и Джигарханьян великолепно справились.
P.S. Джигарханьян озвучивал в радио-спектакле "Солярис" Снаута. Так вот когда Снаут ел консервы, причмокивая, у меня аппетит разыгрывлся.
