Mark Masters So true! I was surfing this reef by myself last month and a juvenile Great White jumped 6’ into the air about 200’ from me. I told a few friends and family and there all kinda “yeah, sure.”
These kinds of moments start to hint at some of the magic of surfing. Sitting in the lineup, waiting for a wave, and a grey whale breaches in front of you. Surfing over schools of fish in the shallows. Dolphins riding the same wave you are. Surfing is fucking magical.
Some of the best surf related content I've seen. Although it's WTF moments, there's something wholesome about it all. Thanks, Surfline for utilizing your global eyesight.
Alex Sands there were talks to edit it out of the video due to people realizing that surfline is run by shapeshifting lizard people. That's why they always promote cold water spots in videos... cold blooded bru.
I dig the dolphin shots. One time I was out on a very large swell at El Morro in Laguna Beach, my wifey was taking a bunch of pics from the beach and about a year later I noticed a picture where there was a dolphin jumping out of the wave while I was paddling out over the shoulder. I saw bunch of dolphins while I was in the water that day but it was funny that we didn't discover that pic till a year later..
We had our wave cam capture the burning down of our local clubhouse/beach bar, people checked the cam in the morning to see what the waves were like but instead ended up seeing the building in flames
When anyone asks me what the big deal is about surfing, my answer is this. It’s about the perfect day. They don’t come often but it’s these days that we relentlessly seek! Perfect air temperature, perfect water temperature and waves. Slight breeze, the scent of sea water and sand, perfect friends and girls to mingle with. It’s all about the perfect day. Oh how I miss the beach.

I doubt it. 0:39 was a meteor, i'd say. The following clip was something entirely different. I have never seen a meteor shower go in opposite directions. Nor have i ever seen a meteor change it's direction in mid flight. I also have never seen such a cluster of meteors.
