  • Wang Xiaoxin, the head of a village, had intention to rent out the plot of land where his office courtyard was sitting on so as to increase revenue for the village. Due to the good locality of the land, it drew many potential bidders, including his uncle, his girlfriend Lanlan, and Lanlan's mother. Both Xiaoxin's uncle and Lanlan's mother had personal gains in mind, and they tried sweet talking and bribing him with money, which put Xiaoxin in a tight spot. Lanlan, on the other hand, wanted to set up a community senior care centre for the village's old folks instead, and Xiaoxin liked her proposal. Both elders tried to stop her by scaring her about payment of a high security deposit fee, which apparently she did not have. Lanlan was sad that she had to give up her dream, and Xiaoxin was equally upset at not being able to help her financially. Seeing the couple's unhappiness, both elders decided to chip in money to help Lanlan pay for the security deposit, so that she could fulfil her dream.
