Moisture in both of my tail lights was due to a small crack in the top of both housings probably due to heat. Added some silicone sealer to it and never had an issue since!
A fair assessment. That LSD certainly helps to address any torque steer but a significant reason why it doesn't is its clever perfo-hub design. Looking forward to seeing more videos on this car and what you do with it.
Man I know many us American car guys want stuff like JDM cars like R34, Supra,RX7 but honestly that renault is my dream car. Hope one day I can buy one (granted I'd customize it to hell and back) thanks for the video
There are worse options out there. honestly unless you're coming from a BMW, Mercedes or Audi, you won't be too fussed. For the things that matter (steering wheel, seats, gearshift) these are actually not too bad. The driving experience makes up for the lack of a German-spec interior.
Fuel cost wise it’s not that bad. Certainly not as bad as some other cars I’ve driven (M35 Stagea and Infiniti G37 were much more thirsty in my experience). Mechanical costs, the parts aren’t too bad for price, but the labour costs are a killer. This is a fiddly car to work on.
Hey mate I'm also from Adelaide, about to buy a 250 myself. Quick question, it's a Tophee model with leather recaros, but has same headlights as your (non xenon), does this mean it's been in an accident?
Is it a 2011 or 2010 model? If it was newer, I’d raise an eyebrow. Also possible that someone swapped out the stock seats and replaced them with recaros. That’s very common
@@jayzceegraham it's a 2011. Has other trophy features like grey bumper and mirrors, keyless entry etc. Is it only the 2010 trophee that doesn't have xenons? Also looking for a good Renault mechanic in Adelaide, who do you recommend for a pre-purchase inspection? Cheers
That does sound odd. Best get it checked out. The best place for Renault’s in Adelaide is Axle Co Mechanical on Main North Road. They can organise a pre-purchase inspection that will be thorough and well priced and with Renault’s in particular it’s always a good idea to get an inspection before purchase and Axel Co won’t miss a thing
@@jayzceegraham I thought it was odd, couldn't find another for sale without xenons. Thanks very much for your help mate! Do you still have your RS? Keen for a cruise sometime
I beg to differ. I think it mostly boils down to what cars you are used to. You make reference to your previous cars owned. My previous cars (in order in the last 10 years) were Astra G convertible, VW Golf convertible, Volvo XC90 T5, Subaru GT Forester, Nissan NXR, Nissan C34 Stagea S2, Nissan R33 GT-T, Nissan C34 Stagea S1. They all had pros and cons, and some share with the Megane. However, the Megane has less blindspots than the Volvo XC90, Astra G convertible and Golf convertible. So this is better than I'm used to. The Megane's "cheapness" is far better than most Nissans I've owned (and I've owned 9 in my lifetime), including the Volvo. The interior appeals to me each time I get in. I don't understand what you mean about the dash. I have no issue, but not to say you do not. The Megane has far more leg room than my Astra or Golf did. However, I agree that head space is the issue. Tall persons would not enjoy. My biggest con is the amount of disassembly required when it comes to doing any engine work/modifications (my GT Forester was the easiest to work on). However, that pales into insignificance when you realise how much engine, LSD and suspension they crammed into it. My Megane 3 RS 265 is probably the best car I've ever owned. Brings a smile to my dial every time I drive, work on, or wash her. Yes, it beats my former 2000 Nissan C34 Stagea RS4(S), which had a ton of mods and produced 262awkw of fun! (for the record, my Golf was a supercharged sleeper, the Astra convertible 2.2lt motor is currently undergoing a turbo conversion, the GT Forester boxer motor was just nice to listen to on cruise, and the XC90 was ... yeah, just an embarrassing turbo tank lol).
The indicator are on the left side because it's a European car. And in European cars you change gears with your right hand. The car isn't a luxury car it's a performance car. People customize them for performance or stance.
@@jayzceegraham I'm sure I won't, it looks and sounds amazing. And as you pointed out in the video relating to Hyundai and Honda, there's really no match for it. Sure I like JDM cars more and I would love to own a Skylien or Supra. But paying the same or more for a +20 year old car which will be more expensive to run and on-par in terms of performance doesn't make any sense to me.
I think you're at the wrong angle, not the dashboard. Learn to set your seat properly, especially when driving a track car. Whining indicator is on left side? The indicator is always on the left side. Oh wait, you're driving on the WRONG side of the street.
Been in love with this car ever since it came out..and test drove one ...highlight of my life

Good video dude.
Well spoken.
Put a panel filter, that alone makes the whole experience double the excitement and much more of an immersive experience.
Take the sound deadening foam out of the airbox too!
Hopefully next weeks video will have you excited then!

Good looking car man! Reminds me of something in my reveal video 🤔
All the best with it bro! Get it built and I’ll put mine head to head with yours at a track of your choice.

Import?
louis scott excuse me?
im looking at buying one of these, is the complete lack of interior luxury noticeable with the 250 hp?

Hey mate, I was wondering, how’s the running costs like on these RS’s? I’m assuming proper pricey. Thanks

This is definitely my next car, but... 150 % extra tax on cars in my country makes this a hefty investment.. (Denmark)
You won’t be disappointed with it! Taxes on vehicles is getting crazy 😢

Maybe you should try and drive a Megane with steering wheel on the normal side..
The right is the normal side 😂

Just watch out for the suspension. The factory set up is weak. Replace them with coil overs
