Mine too, William! I have always done well under them over the years. These were some of the best ones I've hunted in a long while! So glad you enjoy my episodes! Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg
Good morning, Greg, what an exciting permission this is, with all the WWI finds! The flat buttons are a collection in themselves, wish they could talk. Boy, I'd love to metal detect the old house I grew up in, with its ancient clothesline . . . 🤔🤗
Ancient! haha I'm feeling more ancient every day! That has been a great yard to hunt over the years and I was amazed at all I was finding there again with the new machine. Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg
Thanks a lot, Kevin and with the theme of the finds and the new partner, Flag Shirt, I had to go all out with the patriotism. Never have to twist my arm! ☺Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg
Greg you are setting a clothes line trend to find artifacts and relics. Wonderful, personal finds, great hunt and pictures to depict the time period.😀👍👏
Thanks so much guys and I have always loved hunting clotheslines since I got started way, way, way back. LOL Really glad you enjoyed this one! Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg
Nice finds! Those plates you find with letters on them are called "linotype" They were pretty cool machines. Look them up. My father worked in a print shop that had 2 of those Linotype machines in operation in the late 50s-60s.
Thanks so much for that information, Mike! I learn something new all the time and I'm glad to know what these exactly are now. Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg.
It truly is, Max. Wait until you see it do it again in the video coming out this morning. Such an impressive machine! I just love heading out with it each time. Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg
Thanks so much Pauli and I appreciate you subscribing to the channel. Glad you enjoyed watching this one and best of luck over there in Finland! ATB Greg
Hi Greg , good video and finds but without a doubt the collar disc is the best with the Eagle crossed sword and key and in wonderful condition with good age to it well found mate , i still think it's amazing what you guys dig up in peoples back yards mind you i am a sucker for a nice pocket knife to another good find , nice one mate best wishes and good luck ATB Rob .
Thanks Rob and that was truly a stunning example to find in the ground. So happy to have gotten that one. Funny you should mention "garden" hunting as I am always amazed that no one hunts them in England. Seems parks are not searched either. Perhaps they are off limits. Great hearing from you my friend. Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg
I suspect all those flat buttons came off the line of an even earlier clothesline!---I wonder how the lawnmower never hit that upright pocket knife...? What an awesome photo of the industrial sized laundry on the line!
I believe they must have shoved it all the way into the ground below lawn mower blade level. When I saw that pictured with all the clotheslines and the WWI soldiers standing there, it felt like it had been meant for this episode. :) Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg
Hang those pants upside down to dry and all sorts of things will fall out of those pockets. :) If I ever find that 43 copper, I can cash it in for a while. haha Appreciate you watching and take care, Andrew! ATB Greg
Hi Billy, Here is what I've told people in the past about the M9. Hope it helps you. If you have the 5 1/2 X 8 M8 coil already, I don't think there would be enough advantage in performance alone to warrant spending the money for the M9. With that said, there are reasons why some people might want one over the other or why they might even want both. The M8 has excellent separation and very impressive depth. It's small elliptical shape is perfect for getting in between targets and for hunting in thick woods, rocks or tight spaces. The M8 will have the advantage in separation but I think it's a slight one as the M9 really separated well for me out there. The M9 is the perfect go-to coil for those wanting good ground coverage, excellent depth and excellent separation. It's perfect for those not wanting to swing the 11" around because of its weight or size but don't want to swing the M8 as they need something that covers more ground. I love how slim this new coil is as well. It will be an awesome coil to use in the water as it will have far less resistance while swinging it. The M9 is actually 1.2 ounces lighter than the M8 and the further set back mounting point offers excellent balance once it is mounted on the shaft. It was a joy to swing and this would be a great coil for older detectorists to just use as their one and only coil. It will tackle everything they will ever need it to and take it easy on their arms. I think the M9 coil would also be a superb coil to use on farm fields and pasture giving the user excellent target separation while still providing nice ground coverage and depth. It will also be a lot easier to work with in stubble and brush thanks to its more open frame design. With all that said, I have been using the M9 as my main coil and switching over to the M8 when I get into the really thick iron or trash. I always have my M11 and M15 for any deeper seeking needs when required. So is it worth spending the extra $272.00 for you? That's something only you can really answer but hopefully, my observations here might help you figure that out. Hope this has all made sense to you as I am just typing on the fly here as I am thinking about it and I hope it helps answer your question. ATB Greg
Great job Greg! Do you think this was more than just the home of a military officer rather than some kind of military establishment? All the military relics seem unusual to me.
I don't think so as I know the full history of the house and land there. I guess there was an active duty soldier during WWI or the early 20's that lived there. Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg
I can see that. Appreciate the help with it, Randall and it turned out to be a very cool find in the end. Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg
a button under a clothes line 🤔 .yes very odd indeed Greg..🤣✌🇨🇦..and a beautiful day in the neighborhood it is..😳..and I'm not ao sure that's for a cap gun sir..🤷
Several 200 year old buttons, WWI items and other goodies under a clothesline is not typical and a very good day. The cylinder is definitely for an old cap gun. Thanks for watching this one and all the best. Greg
That pennies a 1944 it looks steel you mightve just hit yhe jackpot 1943 are copper rare worth money the 44's went back to copper but some got out steel you might have a steel one better Check it good
Unfortunately, the steel 1943 pennies come out looking like a rusty washer when you do find them in the ground. Most of them have disintegrated by now after having been in the ground so long. Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg

Cool hunt thanks!!!!
Thanks for watching Charlie!
Believe it buddy, some of my best finds were found under old, non existent clotheslines.
All those old knives reminded me of the old game mumbly peg. 🙂
I can understand that! I can definitely see a lot of guys sitting around playing that old game. Appreciate you watching and take care! ATB Greg

My civil war button was also a great find
Gotta love a Civil War button!
How different is the 9 inch from. The 8/5 inch coil? I have the 8.5 but don't know if it's worth forming the money out if its not that much different.

Almost 3 minutes BEFORE THE VIEDO STARTS! I am not clicking anymore! Keep it and bye Bye!
Do whatever you want. This isn't an airport, no need to announce your departure.
You missed a good ‘viedo’.
So glad you enjoyed the "viedo", JoAnne!😉
