- When blown-in insulation is pumped between timber studs, there are sometimes areas of the timber frame wall which are difficult to access, such as confined spaces or above a window heads. In this video, Niall Crosson pre-installs Thermo Hemp Combi Jute, a natural flexible insulation made from hemp and jute fibres, above a window head to ensure that every part of the timber frame wall is fully insulated.

Can I ask, with the blown cellulose how do you avoid any air pockets? I appreciate the holes are at the top of the voids, but it seems that there could still be obstructions within the panel. It would be interesting to use a thermal camera on these walls with a heat source on the inside after the cellulose has been installed.
Hi, panels arrive on site open, therefore an inspection can be made to ensure any obstructions are identified prior to injection. Pre drilling in of the interior sheething in the factory also makes for a more efficient install. Narrow areas which are inaccessible for the hose are pre insulated with our Combi Jute. After the install random core samples are taken to ensure min densitys are also attained to offset any settlement risk. Hope this is helpful.
@@niallcrosson5859 Brilliant, thank you for the reply Niall. It's a really interesting series!
Glad it was helpful!
