    Idk why championships are vacated unless a team used peds or something no one is going to care. NCAA can’t erase the memory of millions watching Louisville winning a championship in 2013 this shit never made sense to me. Like I said before if it’s not peds rings should not be vacated

      Exactly. People will always know who won in 2013. Only people who won't admit Louisville are people who don't like them and the NCAA. As a Louisville fan I'm glad they didn't do more to damage the future of the program instead. They can try to erase history, but you can't no matter what. But still, FUCK THE NCAA.

    I gained a huge respect for Pitino when he was the coach for my Celtics. Sure he was a terrible NBA coach, but they way he handled the Paul Pierce stabbing and his players showed his players came before his own success and wants. I tend to believe him just for the simple fact that he seemed to always be a no nonsense man of integrity during that short time he was on my radar as the Celtics coach.

    The issue at this period of time was the constant focus on if he knew or not when that never mattered nor was it required. Fair or not as the head coach is accountable for the actions of his staff. Louisville kept him through multiple scandals and eventually it was just time. Thankfully eventually he accepted why he was fired even if he wasn’t directly involved because the he is responsible for the actions of his program

    I'm not one to believe "the coach HAD to know, how could he not know???" These head coaches are not omniscient. This is absolutely the kind of thing that guys would try to do behind the head coach's back. Not saying I believe him, but that argument "the coach knows everything happening on a campus" doesn't fly here.

    • @brandondaniels9471
      @brandondaniels9471 5 лет назад +1

      Well, basically he got thrown under the bus for this not because he "had to know" ... they're trying to say that he "should've known." I could understand it if they suspended him for some games. But it seems kinda weird to punish him this harshly for "not knowing," but okay. Maybe there's more to this than known in the public. Idk.

His days against Louisville go back to before he got to Kentucky. At Memphis, Pitino and Louisville would beat him regularly. He didn't start beating Louisville regularly until he started getting multiple NBA lottery prospects on his rosters literally every single year at Kentucky. Gonna be 2020 and he still has ONE championship at Kentucky, which is also the same amount of 1st round NIT exits he has there. I know you all were expecting AT LEAST three by now.

Pitino has 2 chips and has won at every single college he has coached at. Turned around Iona, turned around purdue, put kentucky back on the right path, and completely brought lousiville back after they had been aimless after crum's era. Not to mention that louisville team he won the chip with? Had what like 1 nba player in montrezl harrell? I dont think any other player on the 2013 team had an NBA career.
