Out of every type of level, like Kaizo, Troll, Speedrun, etc, my favorite levels for Ryu to play are puzzle levels. He should do a video dedicated to only playing puzzle levels.
It actually is noticable if you look hard enough,ive seen quite awesome and intricate single space puzzles that required you to use your eyes to beat it therefore it is fair,you just have to use your brain more than what you think you are

When I went skiing i'd always wear orange tinted goggles. Its really neat how after an hour or two you stop noticing that its tinted. Until you take them off and its like "Oh, right, there are colors in the world!"
Well it's quite literally obvious because it is the thing that kills the muncher when you hit the P-switch. And you see it turning back into a coin a few times before he starts taking the shellmet. It's tricky to understand the effect it has, but seeing it and understanding its purpose is rather simple I'd say...
Ryu took 12/13/23 (would be ~19-20s if he went straight for the goal) for each segment. That's ~45s clear time (if we count last segment to be ~20s without him chasing powerups and stars). And he wasn't trying to do it flawlessly. No cheese here. 39s sounds about right.
Hey ryu great video. I loved watching you solve that puzzle, I actually figured it out the exact same time you did. Also, I would just like to comment this here, rather than the actual video because it is pretty old but this really interested me. There was a level you played a while back called Different Types Of Shrooms in a video called "i am dead inside". Now in that level there was that one torturous section where you became a thicc boy from the door and you would have to climb to Roy while dodging the poison shrooms our of the red canons. Now you managed to find ONE hidden mega mushroom in the invisible block next to the door, and I remember reading the comments and a lot of people were debating weather there were more hidden powerups or not. I specifically remember someone saying that there wasn't because the level was trying to recreate that old mm1 Dashie vibes. Anyway, there's a program that Pangae uses sometimes and you put the level code in and it prints out the whole level so you can see how to beat it - it's like downloading the level. And I was interested in seeing If you beat it the intended way, and guess what... There were more hidden powerups 🤣 So if you were to jump on top of the original hidden block that you found, there would've been a boot in another hidden block above it, and above that there was another mega shroom. I can't recall weather it was somehow possible to land on top of the original hidden block but that's what I found. Other than that, that was the only hidden stuff in the level. Just wanted to say because I thought this was interesting :) ♥️
