In terms of performance there may not be a huge differences but in terms of design and display there is a huge differences, galaxy A71 is the clear winner.

@@liynne to be perfectly honest, camera sensors don't actually play a part. Hardware is just as good as software. The S10 takes greater photos than the A71 in my opinion. A bigger sensor doesn't give you a better picture quality
I just ordered 2 A71s for me and my wife. I looked at getting a iPhone upgrade to XR or 11. When I found out that iPhone removed landscape which I need with my videos. I switched back to android. I still use my iPad Air for making music for my videos.

As much as I detest Apple it is worth saying that it is more efficient in using memory than Android devices. Same with the battery. After that there is no comparison between the two except for processing speed and build quality. Everything else favors the A71. The notch is awful. No comparison between the two screens. 64gb on the 11 is a joke.
Steve Schlackman not all android devices are optimized the same. Samsung puts their skin on there that takes up ram. My pixel 3xl has no lag.buttery smooth and super fast and only 4 ram because it’s pure android

I am a heavy camera user and love watching youtube videos. So this huge screen, super amoled screen, big battery and great camera are really good. This phone is also very fast. Love it. The design are slick as well. Have no regret getting the a71
I currently have the A70 after owning 6 iPhones and I totally love it! It feels new and different and the screen is huge. I think I'm buying samsung from now on :)

Been using the Samsung a71 for about a year its a total beast, great battery life, amazing camera as well. Tempted to buy one more as a pocket camera for filming and ditch my dslr.
Watching this on my A71. Bought it 3 weeks ago and my god. Totally worth it. Fast charging. 8gb ram. 128gb internal expandable storage. And the freaking huge super amoled screen. My only complaint is the awful fingerprint sensor and mediocre face id. Biometrics fail most of the time and are stressful to use. I'd rather double tap then swipe my pattern. Much easier. The camera department really is meh. Okay for it's price. Works best outdoor and in broad daylight. I use thirdparty image editor to fix most images if i really want to post them on Instagram.

Other hand, it's interesting that the box content is not all the same. I got my free jelly case in the box but i don't use it because the design is too pretty to cover up even with a clear case. Overall Samsung phone’s displays are generally way better than even apple’s flagship (which also have a samsung panel themselves).

Now is she is super happy with A71 and no issues what so ever in the 1080p AMOLED display as well. I don’t talk without experiencing it myself kid, I just speak facts. I’ll call out Samsung where it’s bad and same with Apple too. Personally I use both iPhone 12 and S20+ as my work and personal phone respectively
The price makes a big difference but the performance? Not so much. Considering the fact that the A71 is a lot cheaper, it has more ram, more storage, a longer and so much better battery life, offers a high quality camera, and is easier to use, just shows that iPhones aren’t worth it and all you pay for is the apple logo.
The A71 looks nice but the feel of cheap plastic makes that phone feel like a toy vs the iPhones premium build quality, better cameras, that powerful a13 chip, and apples updates going for years makes it an investment worth going for. After 2 years that A71 will be sluggish, and no support as the iPhone will still be running strong. Just facts the $300 difference is worth it when you think about the longevity of the iPhone.
I own both phones things that Kevin forgot to mention in his video. Iphone has a speaker on top of the phone and bottom, iPhone is water proof, you do not get ads all day. With one click of a button you can have your iphone only recognize calls coming from your contacts other than that it sends them to your voicemail. With the android phone I’m getting calls about everything all scams. By the way I love both phones
I was pretty set on the iPhone 11 and then the employee at T-Mobile showed me the A71 5G. Since I literally couldn't make up my mind in the store I came home and watched this video and that's all it took !!! Tomorrow I will be a proud new owner of the A71 5G !!! SUPER STOKED !!! ( And i'm saving $$$ not as much since the 5G is $600 but i'm STILL saving)
I have been looking at Budget phones since, I realized that my favorite flagship the Galaxy line had the worst battery results. It was between Galaxy S10 lite, iPhone SE 2020, and the Pixel. Then came the A71, which has great specs. It's a beast! It's just too big for me. You made me realize with your somewhat slanted review. That I need to wait, and see what else comes out. My s9 has better specs than half of what's on the market. Except the camera. Thanks.
I was looking at these two phones not sure which one to buy as I was stuck on the idea that 400 is so cheap so it must be a bad phone! But this video really helped so thank you so much! I am going to go for the a71. Also seeing them side by side, the Iphone looks so old and kinda cheap so I'm glad i didn't spend all my money on it
i dont recomend iphones bc they say that apple slows down the older phones for people to buy the newer more expensive better ones so after a new iphone comes out the one you have will not work as well
The Android experience has really caught up in recent years. I was an apple user for the longest time, but switched to Android last year and have to say, it's gotten so much better. My last Android was the Galaxy s3

I just switched from Iphone 7+ to the A71. I could not see paying double (in Australia) for a iphone 11 or 12. My 7+ lasted 4yrs. It has been a learning curve. I do miss my Apple watch and have not been able to find a new watch to replace it yet .

about battery. a71 here. i play summoners war 24/7 on auto mostly. still get 1 whole day or 1½ day while having autooptimization on for other apps. charge time : 1hr 20 for 0% to 100%
@@rahinmahammad4733 I'm really happy with it normally with my p20pro I was having to charge it every single night. But with quick charge it wasnt necessarily an issue. Just annoyed it drained so fast. The A71 lasts me close to two days. With heavy use majority of the day. It also has fast charge so from 20% to 80-100% in a really short time!

CORRETION: iPhone was not the first to have a square camera module. That credit goes to the Huawei Mate 20 that came out more than a year before the iPhone 11.
As of July you would have to buy the international version of the A71 to get the $399 price. The U.S. carriers and even Samsung itself only the sell the 5G variant of the A71. That brings the price up to $600 U.S.

The LCD isn’t worse that the AMOLED. LCD is preferable to those who frequently have eye strain and fatigue. This is because the Pulse width modulation in the AMOLED display.

Shawn Lepe you ever heard of Antutu benchmark. iPhone 11 scores around 460000 with only 4 gb ram. The a71 scores around half that with 8 gb ram. I’m using the pixel 3 xl and lg v40. Both score better than the A71 in benchmarks. I’m getting 350000 on my v40 and 330000 on my pixel. There are better options than the a71.
@@ohheyhi8626 every iphone I had performed the same. I have the 8 plus and it performs the same as my iphone 7 that I just got on cricket for 50 bucks. All iphones are optimized really well. Now if you ask me which phone I'd rather have, the iphone 11 or galaxy a71, I would take the samsung because of the multi tasking abilities of android. Hope you understand. I would never pay 700 for the iphone 11 or any phone. I would get the s9 plus renewed. I used to rock the a6 samsung and I loved that phone. Took awesome photos.

I have the s10e as 2nd phone for my job I love it but it's small as my personal are always big screens. I decided since I will be paying from my pocket the iPhone 11 . Yeah. Nahhhh. I used to have the A70 as backup phone. And iPhone 11 doesn't even compete the A70. Had the iPhone11 just for 3h returned it back to the box and called them to exchange for A71. What a waste of time , I should've order before the A71. Waiting for the exchange

When you talk about the display, it looks line iPhone is on night shift mode the warm color... I can see that on my device. Compared to my other Samsung phone. The s20 I have them both on the regular view and both look the same but when I turn my night shift mode on iPhone it looks less bright.
Okay so my take on the screen: Depending on the subpixel arrangement on the a71's amoled display the pixel density between the iphone and the a71 shouldn't be that discernable from a comfortable viewing distance but also if you're like me you'd be fascinated by looking at the pixels close up so... but also the lower resolution on the iPhone while not great it's the same retina as with all non plus iPhones throughout the years. The notch is meh of course but at least you get face id? an optical fingerprint sensor is not as foolproof as face id so I'd take the notch. LCD vs OLED for one, if you are sensitive to a dim amoled display due to pulse width modulation you're gonna be pleased with the LCD. The blacks won't be as deep but the iPhone display should put less strain on the eyes. Also burn in is not an issue on LCD as much as it is with amoled. You can trust apple to do a good job with the calibration so the iphone display should look good displaying all sorts of content. So while I've used amoled screens for a while I must say I wouldn't complain going back to LCD I loved my iphone 4 display to bits much more than samsungs early amoleds and I loved the LCD on the nexus 7 2nd gen even more. Just because its an older technology doesn't make it worse. The reason why the iphone looks "dull and drab" in the web browser here could be because of enabled true tone, just a guess. I'm obviously biased here, the a71 is a really great phone don't get me wrong the display from firsthand experience is amazing but I think the iPhone holds its own and if you're intent on buying an iPhone the display should not be a deciding factor so long as you can live with the notch. Sidenote on the oneUI 'features': Don't bother. I disabled all of them it's such a waste of time. Don't even factor that into your decision.

The A71 also has a head phone jack. That right there is a no brainer for me. Apple just wants you to spend more money on accessories.

You can watch videos in landscape mode with the iPhone 11 u just can’t flip to landscape mode while on your home screen

Steve Schlackman not all android devices are optimized the same. Samsung puts their skin on there that takes up ram. My pixel 3xl has no lag.buttery smooth and super fast and only 4 ram because it’s pure android

Watching this on my A71. Bought it 3 weeks ago and my god. Totally worth it. Fast charging. 8gb ram. 128gb internal expandable storage. And the freaking huge super amoled screen.
My only complaint is the awful fingerprint sensor and mediocre face id. Biometrics fail most of the time and are stressful to use. I'd rather double tap then swipe my pattern. Much easier.
The camera department really is meh. Okay for it's price. Works best outdoor and in broad daylight. I use thirdparty image editor to fix most images if i really want to post them on Instagram.

The price makes a big difference but the performance? Not so much. Considering the fact that the A71 is a lot cheaper, it has more ram, more storage, a longer and so much better battery life, offers a high quality camera, and is easier to use, just shows that iPhones aren’t worth it and all you pay for is the apple logo.
The A71 looks nice but the feel of cheap plastic makes that phone feel like a toy vs the iPhones premium build quality, better cameras, that powerful a13 chip, and apples updates going for years makes it an investment worth going for. After 2 years that A71 will be sluggish, and no support as the iPhone will still be running strong. Just facts the $300 difference is worth it when you think about the longevity of the iPhone.

I own both phones things that Kevin forgot to mention in his video. Iphone has a speaker on top of the phone and bottom, iPhone is water proof, you do not get ads all day. With one click of a button you can have your iphone only recognize calls coming from your contacts other than that it sends them to your voicemail. With the android phone I’m getting calls about everything all scams. By the way I love both phones

I have been looking at Budget phones since, I realized that my favorite flagship the Galaxy line had the worst battery results. It was between Galaxy S10 lite, iPhone SE 2020, and the Pixel. I just switched from Iphone 7+ to the A71. I could not see paying double (in Australia) for a iphone 11 or 12. My 7+ lasted 4yrs. It has been a learning curve. I do miss my Apple watch and have not been able to find a new watch to replace it yet .

@@rahinmahammad4733 I'm really happy with it normally with my p20pro I was having to charge it every single night. But with quick charge it wasnt necessarily an issue. Just annoyed it drained so fast.
The A71 lasts me close to two days. With heavy use majority of the day. It also has fast charge so from 20% to 80-100% in a really short time!

CORRETION: iPhone was not the first to have a square camera module. That credit goes to the Huawei Mate 20 that came out more than a year before the iPhone 11.
As of July you would have to buy the international version of the A71 to get the $399 price. The U.S. carriers and even Samsung itself only the sell the 5G variant of the A71. That brings the price up to $600 U.S.

The LCD isn’t worse that the AMOLED. LCD is preferable to those who frequently have eye strain and fatigue. This is because the Pulse width modulation in the AMOLED display.
iPhone 11 is better but doesn’t mean it’s the better buy.

Shawn Lepe you ever heard of Antutu benchmark. iPhone 11 scores around 460000 with only 4 gb ram. The a71 scores around half that with 8 gb ram. I’m using the pixel 3 xl and lg v40. Both score better than the A71 in benchmarks. I’m getting 350000 on my v40 and 330000 on my pixel. There are better options than the a71.

Now if you ask me which phone I'd rather have, the iphone 11 or galaxy a71, I would take the samsung because of the multi tasking abilities of android. Hope you understand. I would never pay 700 for the iphone 11 or any phone. I would get the s9 plus renewed. I used to rock the a6 samsung and I loved that phone. Took awesome photos.

Actually the square camera module came first in the Google pixel, not to say that there were other phones having it before (not well known).

When you talk about the display, it looks line iPhone is on night shift mode the warm color... I can see that on my device. Compared to my other Samsung phone. The s20 I have them both on the regular view and both look the same but when I turn my night shift mode on iPhone it looks less bright.

Okay so my take on the screen:
Depending on the subpixel arrangement on the a71's amoled display the pixel density between the iphone and the a71 shouldn't be that discernable from a comfortable viewing distance but also if you're like me you'd be fascinated by looking at the pixels close up so... but also the lower resolution on the iPhone while not great it's the same retina as with all non plus iPhones throughout the years.
The notch is meh of course but at least you get face id? an optical fingerprint sensor is not as foolproof as face id so I'd take the notch.
LCD vs OLED for one, if you are sensitive to a dim amoled display due to pulse width modulation you're gonna be pleased with the LCD. The blacks won't be as deep but the iPhone display should put less strain on the eyes. Also burn in is not an issue on LCD as much as it is with amoled. You can trust apple to do a good job with the calibration so the iphone display should look good displaying all sorts of content.
So while I've used amoled screens for a while I must say I wouldn't complain going back to LCD I loved my iphone 4 display to bits much more than samsungs early amoleds and I loved the LCD on the nexus 7 2nd gen even more. Just because its an older technology doesn't make it worse.
The reason why the iphone looks "dull and drab" in the web browser here could be because of enabled true tone, just a guess.
I'm obviously biased here, the a71 is a really great phone don't get me wrong the display from firsthand experience is amazing but I think the iPhone holds its own and if you're intent on buying an iPhone the display should not be a deciding factor so long as you can live with the notch.
Sidenote on the oneUI 'features': Don't bother. I disabled all of them it's such a waste of time. Don't even factor that into your decision.
