Back when i was younger and we raised livestock, on those long hauls we put straw bedding down for them. It not only gave them a bit more comfort and less slipping around once they soiled in there, but it made it easier to clean out as well. We would then put the "used" straw over the garden plots for the flowers and veggies to benefit from.
DUSTY: When we hauled livestock, my dad used a combination of straw and sawdust to line the trailer floors. It saved us a bunch on clean-up. I hope your trip was safe and productive. I enjoyed the video.
As a kid growing up we had some horses....Putting sawdust and straw on the floor of the trailer (or stall) will help soak up the urine and poop, keep the smell down, the Bison cleaner, and makes the trailer easier shovel and sweep; making your job easier to keep clean.
I love seeing the bison coming as a group towards you. If I was there I can imagine feeling the weight and power of their hooves on the ground. Something is city folk don’t get to experience.
And the hot brand they use, we had our welded on the back of ours! That paint looked pretty spot on. Close enough to perfect for me! That old country song.
The same thing happened to my stock trailer.but I didn’t lose it. They were only pot weld /tact crazy. I throw a bale of shavings in. Easier to clean out and will help keep your show stock looking good 👍👍🙏 Have a great , fun ,safe trip. The next couple of weeks are looking dicey. 🙏🙏👍👍👏
Hi Dusty, Marissa and Brooke. Great video. Trailer is looking great. Preventive maintenance on the Trailer is always a good thing. Hopefully yall will have a great trip and be safe. Love you working with the bison. Jackie is so adorable. God bless and love yall ❤❤
Trailer's looking good, got to have it pretty for the ride north. Watched the auction yesterday, and I'd say congratulations are in order for your work and the sale on your animals. Now you know more of what you need to do for next years show.👍👍👍👍
Dusty love and enjoy your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the bison and other animals and cleaning to get ready to go to Denver CO.
(awwww, I was waiting to see you load 'em up!). Anyway,..."What a great (thoughtful) Turkey Dad!" (Mmmm 😋)! I just LOVE the herd, come runnin' over the knoll, with that sunset behind!!!!! What awesome silhouettes! ...and then the older ones ("grown"🤗) blowin' that hot air out into the cold. Just (not surprising!) FABULOUS!🇺🇲😎
Good use of the mealworms! Nice protein treat for the turkeys. Truly hope even after these turkeys are released you keep raising additional flocks to release to make up for those killed off by predators.
I have repaired many Aluminum trailers like yours. The urine gets under the floor pads and it oxidizes the metal . It's like acid desovels the metal . At least once a year clean it is important.
Great job cleaning out that trailer. Not fun but necessary. Great job matching that paint too. On camera, it looks really close. Can't wait to continue following this journey.
I was thinking its too bad you cant cury comb the bison for the show. But what if you attached cow scratchers to the barn for the bison to rub on. That would also be a thing they would look for at round up time when you bring them in for worming. The experience would be less traumatic if they could have a scratch before or after.
Hook chains to the Nose of the trailer and use your tractor\skid steer to place it on a tall stump & put a Sprinkler in it for a bit. That will loosen or remove the bulk of it. They say it Rolls Down Hill. Thanks for the interesting Videos, all the Best to You & Your family !
Your freeroaming chickens would eat them grubs🤢 Ranchin is a dirty job 🤭😅🦬🤬 Pretty sunsets at the Ponderosa! Can't wait for the Denver trip! Keep on Bison Ranchin!🙏🦬💜
I use to haul cattle out in the Oklahoma panhandle. I would have to wash my trailer out maybe 3 times a week. Out there they wash bays you backed down to.
We use saw dust and then a layer of straw in our trailers that hauled livestock in. But after the trip, we cleaned it out so it didn't dry on the floor.
I didn't think that your paint would match at all. It surprised me too. It was very close! I am looking forward to going along with It should be interesting. Have a safe trip.
One thing that is so necessary is to lift the mats, clean and check the floor underneath, have seen numerous animals that have gone through the floor and dragged.
DUSTY, great video. Loved the way the turkeys went after the worms. Looking forward to your trip to Colorado, hope all goes well for the family. 🦃🦃💖💖💞💞❤❤❤.
Ive hesitated to say anything because i love your channel and the family, but its soooo much more enjoyable to watch when you speak in normal voice and not the short jerky toner, just speak in normal relaxed tone. Im sure haters gonna attack me. Just giving you good advice that will help listeners
Dusty, you can go to a local paint store, they can mix a custom color that matches your trailer paint, they have spray bottles that you can put the paint in and spray your replacement piece to perfectly match your trailer.
Dusty, watching this make me want to make you a hot drink! Working with water in those cold temps is never fun! But you seemed to have made short work of it. Always a joy to watch the bison.
You can add a pile of dirt in a shaded area, throw all the grub and earth worms in it, and start a little worm farm which is great for fishing. You will need to add some meal and raw vegetables on occasion.
I just received your NEW Original w/Cheese Bison Snack Sticks. We love them. Thank you for the stickers too. Which of your bison was on the sticker? I was guessing maybe Eleanor. Anyways, thank for the delicious and healthy snacks.❤
You better pull out the matts and clean that trailer and get what's UNDER the matts or you will rot out the trailer, I works with metal, pick up the edges and you will see more than the little bit of corrosion showing now.
I think that the colour is a great match, for a can ("great", anyway 🤗), but..... Why didn't you spray it before attaching it (over spray, WIND, outdoor things like seed, etc.)???🤗😂
hi Dusty , Ken from east central NY another great video as usual just wanted to say that I think Black Jack is one of my favorites he is looking good , good luck and safe travels to Denver, will be watching videos ,Thanks for the vids
Love your videos, family & bison 🦬 🦬 ranching!! Wishing you all a great trip & success with trip to Denver. Wld enjoy a little Dunbar fix at your earliest.🎉 Thks lots!! 😊😊

That's what we used also. Especially with different weather temperatures outside!
Thanks. ✌🏻👊🏼

So beautiful seeing the gorgeous sunset with the Bison.

The videos of the sunsets and your herd never get old, Dusty. God is good! May you, Marissa, Brooks, and your family continue to be blessed!
On that replace piece you could put your logo. It would look like it was planned.
And the hot brand they use, we had our welded on the back of ours! That paint looked pretty spot on.

Beautiful sunset with the bison 🦬
Dusty, you really should submit some of your films of the bison and send it to Hollywood, seriously good footage for movies/westerns. 🤷♀️

Good job Dusty. Show the bison off in all their glory.

Beautiful footage of your bison coming over the hill. ❤ I'm excited to go along with your family and the next adventure.
That was so awesome watching that first bison in the subset and then the rest coming to join. Thanks for that shot Dusty‼️🤩🤩🤩🤩
Good afternoon Dusty and Marissa and Brookes thank you for having me along God bless y'all love y'all I love the bison they are so beautiful
And to me, grubs are far worse than cleaning the trailer LOL Those turkeys are going to enjoy them once the figure it out. ❤
They seemed to figure them out pretty quickly because they were gone in a flash.
The view with the sunset was magnificent, Thank you Dusty, awesome video. Can’t wait for Denver.
Looks like you're well prepared for this exciting trip...Many Blessings to you all and Safe travels ❤❤❤❤❤

Love the sky colors with the bison 🦬 in the pastures. Thanks for sharing ❤️
Thanks for including the sunset portion of your video; just beautiful!
🍁
Good use of the mealworms! Nice protein treat for the turkeys. Truly hope even after these turkeys are released you keep raising additional flocks to release to make up for those killed off by predators.
Used to live there, moved to Hawaii, haven't seen any bison .
Oh, that power washing sure is satisfying!
I have repaired many Aluminum trailers like yours. The urine gets under the floor pads and it oxidizes the metal . It's like acid desovels the metal . At least once a year clean it is important.
What a beautiful image, the colors of the sky and the Bison runnin.. 🦬🦬. God bless
Great job cleaning out that trailer. Not fun but necessary. Great job matching that paint too. On camera, it looks really close. Can't wait to continue following this journey.
Beautiful sky!!
Storm rolling through Arkansas now..
Soo beautiful. Sunset and herd headed for hay. Thank you for sharing.
Good job Dusty. Have a safe trip to Colorado and good luck!
Awww, the wild turkeys look great. I'm glad you held them back, there will be a nice flock for breeding, and some to release😃👍
❤😊❤ Great video Dusty! You all be safe traveling!

Great prep work. Be safe.
Hi Marissa, Brooke, and Dusty. Thanks for sharing.
Dusty if that is how you do your least favourite job, then you must go above and beyond for the rest. The trailer was a vast improvement! 👍🏻
May your trip go well 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
That sunset with the bison would make a beautiful portrait!!
Thanks for the video. I was surprised when the turkey's was not very interested in the worms, but them have never seen any before.
Stay safe on your travels 😊
Great shot in the cold with the bisons breathe. Awesome
Cleanup is always the worst part of the job. Always enjoy watching the bison out running around. Good luck at the bison show. GOD bless y'all.
Hi Dusty and Mirissa and Brook great video as always great job on the trailer!!

On the paint color

Grub worms reminds me of fishing with my grandfather.
Our chickens won’t touch an earthworm but grub worms are like giving them powdered sugar donuts!
One thing that is so necessary is to lift the mats, clean and check the floor underneath, have seen numerous animals that have gone through the floor and dragged.
Love seeing the bison 🦬 herd ❤
Every day adventure and things to do on the farm
Dusty, I received the bison snacks and oh my goodness!!! Absolutely delicious!!
Great to hear! Thank you for your support
DUSTY, great video. Loved the way the turkeys went after the worms. Looking forward to your trip to Colorado, hope all goes well for the family. 🦃🦃💖💖💞💞❤❤❤.
In Denver it snowed all day yesterday. Maybe put something down on the floor to make it easier to clean. Straw, wood chips or somerhing.
Where’s all your snow??? 😮
Trailer looks great!
Hi Dusty & Marissa
Safe travels
Can you bring Eleanor up with the rest of the herd while you are away
Look forward your next posts
🦘🇦🇺
Beautiful shot of the buffalo with the sunset in the background!
Postcards or posters of the bison and the pink sunset at about 17:30, would probably sell!
Thank you

Hey there Dusty and family 😊😊
What about a large handled squeegee, Sonne Farms (a RUclipsr) cleans out their livestock trailer weekly (lots of cattle movements between farms).
You can add a pile of dirt in a shaded area, throw all the grub and earth worms in it, and start a little worm farm which is great for fishing. You will need to add some meal and raw vegetables on occasion.
Have a great trip. ❤🎉❤
Beautiful sunset photography.

They make powerwashers that heat the water. I don't have one, but my nephew does.
That is a beautiful sunset.
Grub worms = turkey food! Steamy bison and a sunset, what a view!

I hope you have a wonderful trip
I live in Fountain ⛲ Colorado/Colorado Springs.
I've been telling people to come see you in Denver. I hope they did
put wood shavings or hay on flour makes it easer to clean
