      I was once given a similar preset drill but was told to have the toe up at 12 rather than 1 (Faldo has that preset video on RUclips). That was a disaster for me and this way makes so much more sense, leading to much better striking and straighter ball flight👍🏼😊

      @@CraigHansonGolf Only part I’ve had issues with is keeping my right arm tucked to my side during the start of the downswing. Always feels like it wants to drift away from the momentum and once it’s disconnected I’m not as consistent. Any tips for locking that in?

    Great video. Sir If player needs to work on hips pivot and shoulder tilt would you like to isolate former thing first in a specific drill and then work on shoulder tilt or vice versa or would you like to work both at once in one drill or like most things there is no one way for this? for me, it is difficult to feel if I work on two things at once. What's your thoughts on this?

    • @CraigHansonGolf
      @CraigHansonGolf  2 года назад

      Try and split it up so you work on both. Like 50-50 apply heaps of practice swings.

      @@CraigHansonGolf for splitting up do you mean work on both in one drill with 50% focus on one thing and 50% focus on other thing or do you mean working on one thing in separate drill and working on other thing in another drill ?

    What you’re showing is probably right for left side dominant swingers and requires different set up, transition and release, I guess. Can you cover this in a vid showing these parts in a whole swing? Btw: your wrist set drill is pure Joe Dante! Thx

    This is basically how I swing the club and I hit my irons extremely well. However, for some reason I lose my flat wrist with the driver on the downswing and can't figure out why. No matter what I try my wrists become cupped instead of bowed on the downswing quite a bit with the driver causing a lot of inconsistencies.

    I never could play like that. I tried to do that. Loved hogan’s book too but every time i tried it, I lost distance and it felt awful. I felt like I was in a straight jacket trying to swing. I”ve always been a two plane swinger more like Davis love, Fred couples, jack nicklaus etc for better or worse. When it’s good, it’s great. I hit it pretty far even at 54 years of age without a lot of effort. When it’s bad, well it is what it is. But trying to swing one plane like Kooch or Hogan and i never have good days. Tried it with an instructor for months but eventually gave up and went back to a more upright action. Maybe because I come from a baseball background as a kid and that just came natural to me to swing like I’m throwing a baseball sidearm or swinging a bat? Idk.

      Your a body builder so your a lot bigger. And its probably not your swing style.
      I teach club golfers all day for 25 years.Over 90% come in splay better with the arm on the shoulder plane or slightly lower - steeper shoulders and a stronger club face position.
      It’s not for everyone. But club players don’t play better with high swings that’s for sure

      @@CraigHansonGolf yeah u would know far better than me from all the lessons u give. Just my experience playing the last 30 years. i do think the more barrel chested types like myself have trouble strapping the arms to their body. Lee Westwood does it and hes amazing. Not sure why couples, fury’s, love etc adopted that swing style being thinner more athletic looking guys most of their careers. Ii lived in Fayetteville Arkansas for a few years and knew some guys on the razorback team that knew John Daly and all said he had amazing eye hand coordination. They said he was awesome at any bar game-darts, pool, etc. I think he could have made anything work from what they were saying about him.
