The master of the single note octave riffs. And singing while playing them at the same time. Almost like the antithesis of thrash metal. Learning CKY songs on vocals and guitar when I was just a novice back in the early 2000s was almost solely responsible for crafting my playing/vocal independence.
Good, now i dont have to write it! Cky without deron is like eating ass, it doesnt do me anything and its mostly shit. Jess sure has the swing and groove, obvious bonham fan. But i'll take derons riffs and vocals over "cky"
The only way to hear "An Answer Can Be Found", "Carver City", and "Camp Pain" songs live! I LOVE that they played "On and On and On and On"; that and "The Whipping Hands" are the finest on the album, IMO. Great quality video, here's to hoping I can see this band in 2021.
True. The other one band (if you know which I mean) never plays from AACBF and Carver City songs anymore. Always stuck to Vol 1, IDR, and their latest stuff.
You rule! Thanks for the fb comment too! I really hope you get to see them this year! If I see them first, there will for sure be another live show to watch on yt!
Hopefully I don't sound off base here, but Deron's music always felt like hometown talent to me. I suppose being a Pennsylvania guy myself helps. But something about the whole CKY sound always felt like a little gem from home, one I was happy to share with anyone who hadn't heard them yet. Love this set!
I know exactly what you mean. I went to a few of the hellview shows and after watching the movies and hearing the music and also being in philly...it felt special and nostalgic. I miss those early days. Glad you enjoyed the set! Thanks for watching!
The literally have never sounded better. I sincerely hope this time around with the new moniker and songs with the classics of course they finally get the recognition they deserve. Deron is truly one of the best musicians I've ever known. Endless creativity ideas and riffs originality forever. So so good
Thank you for this upload. I was there and it seems like I was in the same spot you were lol. This was such a great show. After I recorded Deron saying how many butts am I gonna have to cut for you people to realize not to be dummies lol
Deron needs Chads production. Chad and Jess need Derons songwriting and voice. Deron and Chad need a Margera in the band. Its simple. Get the boys back together!!
@@XoldnewsX absolutely! They are just casually hanging around the venu. They are very happy to talk and converse and take pics/autographs. Very very kind people. Don't be shy. If you have a fav song you want them to play do mention it and they may play it for you. You will have a blast!
this sounds so fucking good but was there like 5 people at this show? hope this picks up steam now that shows are finally a thing again would love to see them come to ny this sounds way better than cky did when i saw them in 07

@@JerryMeehanJr it's a definite possibility now! I saw them at 1 festival and at the electric house after their hellview show. Reallly cool experience.
This is amazing but I can't help but notice how often the drums go out of time, and either Shaun or Ken have to go over and give a nod to get them back on track

Deron Miller is the best and most important guitarist in the last 25 years IMO
I completely agree!!
He created his own sound. That’s not easy to do.
@@TobermoryIscarabaidX agreed! He is my favorite guitarist personally 😊

To me I agree. I love Chad and Jess but without the voice of the band you have nothing
@@Eric_Midge Well its more than the voice, listen to the riffs man. Without Deron the whole thing that made cky one of a kind is gone.
Deron sounds so good live. He’s like Lemmy with a higher range. Chad cannot hold a candle to his voice.
🔥 sounds better then cky imo
Bloody hell, they should make a live album.
Top notch video
