Great explanation of the benefits of decentralised networks, loved the death star metaphor, I was having a bit of a challenge describing why blockchain is important to my skeptical friends the other night at the pub, will definitely share with them the dangers of SPOF's, thanks!
To hand over the development of the decentralized index to a university and not a single company, like IOHK, just makes the EDI much more decentralized.
In in the course of this presentation, a new concern has emerged in my mind (Which I hope is unfounded): what's to stop a cartel of wealthy investors from quietly buying out stake pools, and then using "front" operators to make it look like hundreds or thousands of stake pools aren't owned by the members of the cartel? ie: Is Cardano/ADA immune to a takeover, or partial takeover, by oligarchs?
Always reassuring to see Cardano being built by such intelligent, passionate and capable people. Appreciate it.
This is so important and long overdue. Can't wait for the EDI to be completed and rolled out to the public.

I can't wait to see EDI in action

Nice, I always used the centralization of miners in large companies as a detractor of Bitcoin and POW vs POS. Good to see I had a point there ;)
Really well explained. Great work!
Very well explained, and a great presentation! Thanks for sharing this!
When we can see the index ?
