Siargao 2019 and 2021

Even before #TyphoonOdette hit, Siargao already had a problem sourcing clean fresh water for its exploding tourist population and its lack of proper medical facilities. The typhoon made that problem even clearer.
Resort owners say some of them may never recover, others say it will take them years to build back. But everyone agrees and are hoping, the island builds back better, highlighting the natural beauty of the place many have considered their home.
