- In this video Tom goes over the all new highly anticipated extension to the North Wales Coastal. Fans of the existing route could only drive as far as Conwy from Crewe. But thankfully now you can now enjoy the final missing piece to Holyhead adding 40 more miles onto this fantastic part of the railway.

As a person who grew up in North Wales, a very good add on for this would be a scenario driving a class 37 on an aggregate train of seacows. Which was a regular train whilst the A55 was being called constructed. 👍🏻
you are right in saying that vally was used for nuclear flasks also the whole north welsh coast has been modernized with LED signals
Thanks for the clarification on the nuke info. Also i much prefer semaphores. Im glad it was done with them and not the resignalling era
The 'whole' North Wales Coast? I understand that boxes west of Abergele still exist and some semaphore arms are still in place.
What a quickly released video, thank you for the look. By chance was the Holyhead Lighthouse included on the end of the pier at the harbour? I know DTG included the Point of Ayr lighthouse on the previous NWC, so I wondered if the Holyhead variant was included?
Thank you for watching :), Ive taken a look and cannot seem to see a lighthouse in holyhead itself unless i am being blind but nothing is visible. Sorry its not the answer you would of hoped for :(

Valley (wylfa) Was used for nuclear waste (FNA's) Normally with a 2/1 68's, To Crewe coal sidings, also used as a turning point for steam loco's (possibly diesel) on rail charters, Hope this route is re-released as it's one I really wish I had got.
Shame that wylfa closed down for nuclears for the time being.
Thanks for sharing a video so soon! The scenery looks good, although honestly you could look at a dog turd using RW Enhancer and AP Sky & Weather and it would look so much better! I'm not saying this route is a dog turd, as to the contrary, there's some good looking assets and it looks like an enjoyable drive. Kudos to DTG for putting together this nice route extension.

Thank you Daz! Glad you have enjoyed the run, My think is to make it look as good as possible with the enhancements. Not that it is bad without them i just like to make it that bit more with a few tweeks. But its a lovely route. Also getting better now :)
great video..and holyhead looks realistic..i wonder if there is a ferry or similar passenger ship that could he placed in the harbour. near the train terminus.this is were the boats used to depart for Ireland from.sealink etc .now they are much out..ie stena.irish ferries..
Sadly no ferrys in holyhead on the route. I think it would be a good addition to of been added
The Britannia bridge has two massive sculpted lions at each end. It's criminal that they can hardly be seen by anyone after the tubes were dismantled and the roadway built over them.
You can see the plinths they sit on at 29:04. Maybe one day they'll be in the simulation.
i also hope that dtg one day complete the wcml gaps..ie London Euston to Rugby.and north of Stafford..allowing a complete run from Euston to Holyhead.( maybe in 2 stages ) plus i think its the premier route in the UK.linking Birmingham etc..i know uktrsim has the euston bit.but it needs loads of extras and im no good at that type of method..great to have this bit though crewe to holyhead..

My house lies right next to the railway just a minute or two before conwy station. Trains are loud and annoying but it’s cool
If you own the Hamburg route i found a ferry asset which is quite realistic, anyone making scenaros could use this and position in the dock..i also noted uktsim has an actual sealink asset of the Hibernia..but im not sure if that can be uterlised into this simularor..

does this route go through wrexham/chester at all? can't seem to find which stations are on this route :)
Sadly the wrexham line is not included with the route. I dont think anyones ever covered wrexham at all to my knowledge unfortunately
i am fairly new to this, so please forgive any transgressions. there used to b a railway siding at penmanmaur that picked up from the quarry, is that still used please?
It's just reopened recently after about 10 years out of use.

Cool! Do you need the original for like the trains or something or can you just get this? I am making a 3 part scenario for this route in the 221.
As far as i can note you require crewe to llandudno jnc then a further purchase of the holyhead extension. They did have a bundle on steam but it looks to of gone
@@TrainSim_TV thanks. It's because I plan to publish the scenarios on Steam so I needed to know if I needed crewe-llandudno in the requirements list
How do I get this route now it’s been discontinued?
You can purchase Crewe to Llandudno Junction via a copy of TS 2018. This is available on Humble Bundle. It does not include the extension from Llandudno Junction to Holyhead however sadly. That is lost all together, we hope that the route comes back on sale like the other welsh products in time
How the heeeeck do you get your game SOO smooth?!
Having the right computer specs plays a big part in this. Sadly TS isnt a cheap hobby!
How are you graphics so good for the routes?
I have a high end gaming pc. But settings wise they are set from medium to high

mark R the route was mad in partnership with virgin trains who have ceased operation.
