Hi, I was wondering if my interpretation of the analysis part of an article is right?
    The article -
In the RI-CLPM the between-person stable variance is modelled separately from within-person fluctuations over time.
In this way, findings from the group level (i.e., between-person level) can, therefore, not mistakenly be interpreted as causes and effects on the individual (i.e., within-person level) level.
    How I understand this-
In this statistical analyses the difference of different individuals is processed separately from the difference the individual displayed in the behavior over time
This was done so the results from different groups is not taken as a causation relationship that happens in the individual (not necessary across time)
    Thank you =)

It sounds like you are on track but it is hard to say without context

Hi, could I ask, if a study involves letting participant watch a video of a well dressed person, and a second video of a causally dressed person, and getting them to select which person they find more trustworthy.
If the hypothesis is that people would find the well dressed person more trustworthy,
Would this entire study be considered an experimental study?

Hi Aaron, it depends on other factors like random selection of participants and random assignment to groups amongst others.

What was the name of the book you were referring to?

Evan, thanks for the lecture .
I am having some issues with my research design and it seems my second supervisor is confusing me a bit.
I have three independent variables and I want to use a between-subject design, I broke it down into six groups.. 3 experiment groups and 3 control groups.
I want to know if I have to write the design in the form of 2x2x2 usually used for factorial design.. if not, who would I specify it in my research design?

      That sounds right on track!

@@EvanOrtlieb1 I didn't get what you meant by that sounds right.. I need some clarification and procedure for exposing the treatment to the participants.

Hey can you please explain the difference between complete and incomplete within groups?
