Why did you stop so far back from the parent? Those students had to cross a a very large diagonal cross. Too much space that the children are not protected by the bus.
It forces the children to walk at least 15ft from the front of the bus so the driver can see them. The rule is you must see the feet of the children crossing in front of your bus. If you pull up to close, then ideally the children would have to walk farther ahead then the parent is standing to make this distance possible.
Yep she is right most of the time with special needs school buses and special needs student s they usually have the special ed students get off the bus as the same side where the house is my bus was always like that so nobody would get hurt

So if the dad is getting the child from the bus stop because the mom is away somewhere then the new bus driver may refuse to let the child off? Lord.
