- Last year, two Denver police officers got a call to check on the welfare of a 15-year-old named Victor. He had been bullied at school, and said he wanted to end his life. But they stepped in, changing all of their lives forever. Steve Hartman has their story "On The Road."

Hes almost blind and playing the piano perfectly. Hes already way more talanted than any of his bullies will ever be, i hope everything works out for him.

I see you have never suffered bullying. If it was that easy to solve 🤦♀️ I was constantly picked on for being overweight most of my childhood. No bullies suffered anything. You just know nothing.
I think the entire system need a to change as so does family life. One size fits all will not help people, the human person to change or to heal but just fake it till they make it to seem ok. People who bully, are by no means always a victim, but their outlook on themselves and on other is twisted. Maybe how they may take instruction as dictatorship instead of guidance. Lack of trust is often huge, that u gotta survive on your own and no one gonna care if u gone or not. These mentalities are built logically from what they have seen and how they were or were not mentored by others such as family or 'friends'. If we want to change this, lessen it's occurrence an help the people, the current system may work for onky a few in different ways. We need a broader and more effective approach to tackle this issue. What good would emptying wallets do? None.

Imagine being the parents of the kids that bully a blind kid and even poor hot glue on him. You literally created a disgusting creature. But they might not even care failing so hard as a parent.
Bullies should be punished much harder and victims should be compensated financially. There should be taken in account how wealthy the bully and his parents are and the compensation should be adjusted to this. Make sure it really hurts them over a very long time..

It's a comment on how they didn't just respond to the call and stop him from killing himself, but that they continued to play an active role as friends and mentors and help him improve his life so he doesn't end up in the same position again.
Every Bully has a backstory on why they bully other people.

At my high-school there was bullying however it wasn't tolerated by most students so we had a unspoken unofficial rule to teach them a lesson and it worked
watching all these kinds of news features about awesome things happening is nothing short of wonderful, too bad i only get to watch them on my 5 hour shifts on youtube while cutting onions... really wish i could see more.. they never really get into the detail after the fact... nevertheless, glad to know good things do happen at times
I remember once as a kid I got cought shop lifting. The policeman who *arrested* me brought me back to the station and spoke to me as a friend. Its safe to say the things he told me changed my life. When my mom came he told her he will throw the report away since he thought I was just a nice kid doing something stupid and nothing else ^^
