To be fair I'm not sure if he had that fight. Even if he did it right he was gonna lose multiple units, and then the boss goes into phase 2 with 999hp and you have to kill every other enemy before you can win
@@a2rhombus2 Only had to move foxee down and sun rod them. Since they're at 0, he attacks first and does exactly 9 damage to the boss. He had lethality but didn't saw it.
@@gabichoufs There's still 2 attacks incoming from the top row. Boss goes into phase 2 so it's not a true lethal and the turn still ticks over for the other attacks. NL fucked up with the yank and should have saved the frost guardian for last, that final turn was pretty much unsalvageable either way.

I got to the end and was wondering where he misplayed on the last fight and thought the same thing pulling the boss was a big mistake. Doing 1 damage to the spike wall was the better play.
One of the most cracked runs power-wise I've ever seen, I would've been so upset at myself for that ending, good on the egg for laughing it off, he is a more resilient man than I.
But he was right, there could've been a phase 2 and fuck him over. In fact i thought he did the perfect play, why the heck did the 5dmg enemy went first before the 55dmg one lmao

dude that big berry play nearly gave me a heart attack, what a terrible potentially run ending roll of the dice. All he had to do was move mimik up and freeze the poisoner XD
Batting off bad chat advice for an hour straight, cobbling together a winning run, only to make one small misplay for fatal at the final yard line is entirely within my scope of belief regarding NL roguelites.
Gotta love how there are so many moving parts to constantly pay attention to that you can get screwed by any momentary laps of judgement. makes for some hilarious content

I'm shocked that chat didn't tell him to turn the game itself down from it's options. It's got a Master Volume slider. That'll give your windows volume thing more ability to fine tune. Pls the sound in the game is so damn good.

He does say at the end that it is the first time he got to the final boss, and the fact that he had to collect that journal page proves it. But still, what the hell happened? I tried searching through his Twitch page, and I couldn't find the ending of the Rodok run. I'd really like an explanation.

NGL, I didn't expect it to end that way. Similar to how I didn't expect something very very similar to happen on my first run that got that far. It just happens that way sometimes. Great first almost win!
saddest part of him losing was that his deck was so insane and tight. hitting two munches and picking up consumables... finding snow cake... hard to make a deck that good

As soon as he pulled the boss in front bot realizing his effects, I knew he was dead. Not seeing the mimic was the icing on the cake.
