Great video. I did like the checking of the tickets between the two San Bernardino stations as any invalid tickets found, the passenger is instructed to get off the train at the next station. It reminded me of The Peep Show when Jeremy was on the train without a ticket, when the guard came, Jeremy was asked to leave the train at the next station and he said 'fine, that was were I was going anyway'!
So what I do is I start from the back of the train and walk to the front only on the bottom, checking tickets. Then I go from front to back only doing the top. Then, if I’ve missed anybody, I go from back to front on the top. (The opposite way I did the first time so that I don’t have the same blindspots) and then the bottom again in the opposite direction for the same reason
I discovered something interesting on one of the German routes to Frankfurt while playing guard mode. Walked to the front of the moving train where it connects to the engine unit, and opened the front door to see if I could walk outside and to the engine. I couldnt...however, I saw a button marked "uncouple". I just clicked it, assuming that it would be disabled. It wasnt. Next thing I know, my train grinds to a halt and I see the engine unit vanishing into the distance, leaving all the carriages and me behind! I don't know if that's a bug with the game or a bug with me...
@@TinTin_57 Heartbroken. I'd been a perfect conductor the whole route, and then literally just before Frankfurt, I had to watch my train escape without me. It didn't even fail the scenario. Everyone just had to sit about awkwardly until I gave up and quit!
I uncouple AI trains in timetable mode if there is another in station where I stop. But if you uncouple standing train it won't continue anymore. But if you wait and uncouple it while it's moving it goes away and leaves some cars on station. Those cars affects signalling and signal before cars remain red no matter how far train is gone.
The points do add up because if you did not accept the invalid ticket you would have gotten 300 pts so if you hadn't lost 300 it would be at 21000 and add 300 more to get 21300
@@thedhonkeyo the summary screen says I missed out on 300 points but I’m 600 off the total. How come it doesn’t show the breakdown of the full missing 600? That’s the mystery
@@TinTin_57 if you got the ticket right you wouldn't have been deducted 300 points which means you would have 21000 and you would get 300 points for that so it would equal 21300 It's kinda hard for me to explain
Conductor mode is bad in every route. When I drive, I have to open doors so there's no conductor in train. And do this really happen in real life? Conductor open doors?
The problem I have with Conductor Mode (Although I love it) is that there'd never be ONE conductor responsible for a train a long as the ones we're seeing in game. Especially double decker coaches. It's nearly impossible to collect all the tickets.
Actually, Metrolink does typically operate with only one conductor for the entire train. They literally just have a crew of 2 per train. One engineer running the train and the conductor checking the passengers.
@@TinTin_57 Instead of telling him you just made him watch your video with no reason. How hard is say: It have to be tsw5- designated route and when you start timetable it asks you do you want to drive or get conductor mode.

agree...bottom is tougher to navigate. you can easily sprint though the upper levels.
Love the video please do more guard mode in the future
The la union Station in Bernardino looks exactly the same as the one in antelope valley although the tracks are different
At least you only have to flick to the map to count how many coaches you have
❤❤
I wish it was a freight conductor. At least their job is fun

Ha ha no, I suspect that is as designed but normally you wouldn’t be able to reach it as a passenger

I’m an American 🇺🇸and in my home we drink Taylor’s of Harrogate tea. What is your British opinion on that name brand ??
I have had Taylor’s coffee strangely but not their tea.

@TinTin_57 were is your house in train sim world 5 ? great video im new here
Welcome! My house isn’t in, but there are lots of places local to me I recognise on the Preston to Blackpool route in TSW 👍

Will the pendo have a guard mode in the near future
They are working on it yes, not sure in the timeframe though
Do I need to actually buy tsw5 for conduter mode jw
You do yes as it’s a TSW5 feature only
I go top to bottom back in forth
how do you radio the driver
@@laramanning3766 as I recall it’s automatic when you complete all the steps
How do you get on conductors mode? Great vid by the way
