As someone who was in Manchester for the first time recently for work, and used these trains from/to the airport, this is pretty cool from my perspective.
I regularly go through stockport and piccadilly to get to uni so im really looking forward to this route. And the viaduct is the stockport one. Which was the largest brick structure in the world when it was built.
I am looking forward to this one actually. I do like the little commuter shuttle runs. With all the extra layers this could be up there, hope the layers go onto Glossop and route hop will add hours of fun
I'm pretty new to TSW and am fully addicted! I live in Stockport so can't wait for this. I currently only have the EWS 66 on East Midlands/Cargo Line add on so unlike everyone else I'm excited to get a second (thought I had one on the WCML south route but I'm on PS4 so it got pulled)....I'm sure as my collection of routes builds (I'm in my 40s so currently ploughing all my cash in to Northern Transpennine/Tees Valley for the 80's and 90's locos) I'll soon get sick of them but take my cash ATS, it's yours when this comes out!!!
@@TinTin_57 Class 20s, 31s, 37s, 40s, 45s, 47s....what's not to like?! Love driving the 101 too....none of this modern day stop/go on one lever nonsense!!! Loving the content - you're my go to guy for TSW stuff having been a sim driving nut for years!
TT. I grew up using this line to Manchester and will be a day one xbox purchase. Like your idea of updating the Glossop line with this routes Manchester Piccadilly concourse. That would be great but cannot see DTG doing it. Hoping you are right and i’m not.
I like the 323s but could they SERIOUSLY not make a 195 or a 331? Ive stopped buying tsw products in general but even if I still bought them, id not dare to spend 30 gbp on a short ass shunt route with a train we already have. If you own the other Manchester route, all you're getting here is basically JUST the route for full price.
I'm pretty new to TSW games... so am i right in thinking that some (or most?) DLC routes are made by different teams that are not Dovetail Games? Is it that Dovetail provide like a developers kit to other creators?
Exactly right yes. Just in the last 12 months with the release of the editor, more and more 3rd parties are getting involved and are able to work with DTG to market their own routes. Great for the game

Cant wait to final travel through my hometown Stockport

So it is, and I have driven under it many times!
Great informative video and at 2:55 I believe it was Stockport Viaduct which spans over the town.
Thanks mate, yes, you are right. In fact I have driven under it many times!
185 on that route would be nice.

Glad you are enjoying the game and you are making some good choices there with all the BR Blue era stuff!

@ cheers mate, appreciated
I'm 90% likely to pick this up. My only slight reservation is that I don't want yet another 66. I have too many already. 🤣
I hope that they have new classes such as glass 331, 195, even Transpennine express will be a nice touch 👍
It's confirmed there's no new tradition with this route

This has taken so long, I got bored of waiting. This one won’t be day one for me. Might pick it up later if it turns out well or if it’s very cheap.
Stockport viaduct
Honestly can’t believe they didn’t finish the route to Crewe quite pathetic tbh

I am really looking forward to this route, I’m sure the wait will be worth, do you know the release date? 😃
No date as yet mate
@@TinTin_57 thanks, it’s taking forever lol 2024 hopefully
Think I’ve made my thoughts clear in the discord😅
Yep ha ha and this was recorded before that lol
Far too short and limited will not be purchasing. If this sells well expect more short routes with no new traction.
27 miles isn't bad don't know what you're expecting to be fair.
@@philipbray880 Just Trains have set a high standard, this is simply pitiful in comparison. The money will be staying in the bank
@CarlSmith-bs4qx that's fair looks good to me given they've had over a year or so to do it.
Not for me this route unfortunately
Couldnt even give us a new unit, pathetic
