It was in fact click bait Hi Im rito and I go mask off with this video! I hope you enjoy! Using Blender, and the cheapest paint I could find we make a da mask!
That section about perfectionism came up while I was in the middle of a clay project I've been fighting with for months because of perfectionism. I feel called out
why did you feel the need to choose that specific phrasing, faces aren't meant to be described in such ways, how did you make the very concept of a mask even weirder 😭
I love the section where you talk about how perfection kills creativity, i see a lot of people saying they want to quit art because they don't have skills right out the womb, and i always tell them that its about enjoying creating something, and having fun with it! fun and creativity is the most crucial element to give life to any type of art. Also the mask is so cool i want to eat it... and have the prototype ‼️
As a perfectionist myself, the chat about embracing imperfections really struck a chord with me. The mask turned out great as well, so I guess that just proves it. Awesome work!
i struggle with trying to be perfect all the time. It was really nice hearing your wisdom and watching the honesty unfold. I need to just start loving myself and the things i do💜 Dang i wrote this mid video and just got to the end~ my little sister would LOVE a mask like that! She got influenced from me and joined the fandom this year and uses her own handmade mask but i know she would get so creative with that mask base💖shes such a bright girl🫶
the "roughness" does give huge compliment to the overall look, as if it was carved out of wood, chipped tooth and weared paint with highlighted cracks suggests it may be even ancient. Pretty cool result! Whole advice thing is nice aswell, perfectionism is a beast with quite big hp bar...
Man, videos like these really make me want to get into blender/3D modeling. Really appreciated that section about perfectionism too. I’ve been struggling on some art and when you said “it’s about having fun” I was like, yeah this isn’t fun I’m just gonna do something else, and I’ve felt my stress go away. Anyway great video, the mask really came out well :)
Rito it's SUCH an absolute delight watching your videos! The bubblegum spiderweb to make the meshing cracked me up, and your message about perfectionism in the creative process is a nice reminder for other artists. Thank you for all that you do!!
That perfection bit was summed up beautifully, I struggle way too much with the process of creation due to my own grievances with the process and doubting the final image living up to my often unreasonable expectations. I often bullied myself out of finishing a lot of projects cause of it, but after hearing your perspective on it, I feel a lot more confident to try at it again. Thank you Rito
Rito! Rito... you frusky smuzzgly little dude, why are you waking me up in the middle of the night buddy? Oh Rito, are you masking again? What a wholesome situa...HOLY CRAP PUT YOUR FACE BACK ON
Just found you, I absolutely love your character model and animation style! It's super expressive. Mask looks really great, epic paintwork. Keep it up, man!
Great to see you making stuff again! I especially enjoyed that part about not letting looking for perfection stop you from just doing things, I feel I gotta take that one to heart
Nice mask! Yes its funky with its dimensions but it looks even better with the paint job you did with it, it kind of gives the mask a wooden feel, like a korok's imperfect body. Love it!
This goofy animated dog man is spitting legit inspiring advice 😭 great video as always! Love to see em! And that mask looks SO cool omg. The paint job is crazy good. Like comic art come to life!
That mask is sick! I'm so happy to see you back making content on here and i'm happy to hear you got your other job prospects lined up! You're fantastic
You know what? That's a solid point, there. It doesn't *have* to be perfect. Having fun, and learning along the way, seems the way to go~ I've been wanting to make a fox mask for a while now, and I'm gonna make it happen soon~ Thanks, Rito~
This is awesome!!! I thought you wouldve gone the 3D printing route, ive never even considered using this technology as a possibility. Ty for the inspiration, and remember, keep it imperfect and asymmetrical 🦖🦖🦖🤟🤟🤟
That was so awesome, loved it! Epic design, man wish I had a computer to make 3D stuff like that. The teeth were super cool, where’d you get the clay from?
I really love the paint job on the final mask oml, that's so cool! I never even thought about using modeling software to make templates, that such a good idea! 🤯
this was the first video ive ever seen from you and im hooked, youre energentic in a unoverwhelming way but you still keep that mood, its incredibly fun to watch,, i also love how the mask came out, it reminds me of a higher quality halloween mask.
Having the mask would be so cool but im not commenting for that- i literally just wanted to say that the mask looks like dr reflex from baldi's basics in the best way!!!!!! Its so abstract and fun and i think its a really great lesson for all the perfectionists out there
That is an awesome way to make a mask. Makes me want to make one too! Gonna have to go look for some foam clay... But the mask turned out great, I can't wait to see it in different kinds of lighting. It seems to take to different environments really nicely!
I don't think I've ever met another person, floof, or being call resin "Hard Sauce"... *I shall add this to my gremlin vocabulary. Thank you, Rito! X3*
This is so friggin wicked! I've been heavily into writing a new story for a year now, and one the main character's big points has been mask-making. It was really cool to see the creative process that goes into it, and someone's first shake at it makes it feel so... accessible. I may even try to make one myself! Cause I tend to find the best kind of writing you can do comes from experience. And what an awesome experience it'll be. :D Eeeven if I will have to make some tweaks to the creative process to fit with my own strong suits of course.
I'm really happy I was recommended this video because I've been thinking about making a mask for myself as well. I've never worked with foam before but that foam clay stuff looks really fun to use! Your mask looks lovely!
Hot damn, looks like designing and crafting the mask was a project and a half, never mind this video on top of that, but you did it. It can be hard to remember that perfect is the enemy of done, and good enough is good enough, but it's nice to be reminded that we all get stuck on that sometimes. You're doing amazing Rito, thanks for another fun and edifying video. (I would also like to waive myself from being entered into the raffle for the prototype mask. Good luck to everyone else. c:)
ive been experimenting with foam recently and this was fun to watch and gave me some inspo! awesome stuff as always man excited to see who snags up the mask :)
Whoever gets that prototype mask is gonna have that shit speak to them like the green goblin suit.
If you want an awkward father of 3 to have it, thumbs up here.
Man put a mask on him already, bro needs it fr
Jokes aside, the way you make the animations for your 3d model processes is very fun to watch
That section about perfectionism came up while I was in the middle of a clay project I've been fighting with for months because of perfectionism. I feel called out
JUST FINISH IT! DO IT! MAKE IT DONE! IT CAN BE DONE
for me it came up when i was peeing :)
@@tawoorie I'm gonna finish it. For you Tawoorie 👍
Art is never finished, it is simply abandoned.
You look about ready to go on a payday heist. I love it
came to the comments wondering if anyone else thought this too 😂
i am impressed in the smoothness of animation for the real life segments. it's almost like a real camera or something.
HE TOOK HIS FACE OFF😭
Bro, can i have the mask?
Wait so it shows a human like skull when the face comes off at the beginning so does that mean that the snout is like just a solid tube of meat?
i... did not need that image in my head.
why did you feel the need to choose that specific phrasing, faces aren't meant to be described in such ways, how did you make the very concept of a mask even weirder 😭
YOU GOT ME. OLE MEAT TUBE RITO
@@TheRitoBandito oh dear. that sounds highly uncomfortable.
one may call it... an "Burrito"... @@TheRitoBandito
0:22 I really like the art for that Rito badge in the top left
So this is what the cool kids call "masking". I knew my therapist was wrong!
That should not have made me laugh 😂
That's funny, it made me laugh a little!
I love the section where you talk about how perfection kills creativity, i see a lot of people saying they want to quit art because they don't have skills right out the womb, and i always tell them that its about enjoying creating something, and having fun with it! fun and creativity is the most crucial element to give life to any type of art.

I was not prepared for Rito to be dishing out solid life advice.
As a perfectionist myself, the chat about embracing imperfections really struck a chord with me. The mask turned out great as well, so I guess that just proves it. Awesome work!
noo not the spider :((

I would love to have the prototype mask myself cause it looks genuinely funky in a good way
your stuff is super coolzies, i love the way the black lines make it pop
i struggle with trying to be perfect all the time. It was really nice hearing your wisdom and watching the honesty unfold. I need to just start loving myself and the things i do💜

the "roughness" does give huge compliment to the overall look, as if it was carved out of wood, chipped tooth and weared paint with highlighted cracks suggests it may be even ancient. Pretty cool result! Whole advice thing is nice aswell, perfectionism is a beast with quite big hp bar...
Surprised Oliver was able to make the mask without needing supervision from an adult! Great video Rito!
I love watching your goofy shenanigans
Man, videos like these really make me want to get into blender/3D modeling.

What kind of Analog Horror did RUclips just recommend to me & why is the cactus raccoon from Lackidaisy in it? Lol
Rito it's SUCH an absolute delight watching your videos! The bubblegum spiderweb to make the meshing cracked me up, and your message about perfectionism in the creative process is a nice reminder for other artists. Thank you for all that you do!!

Love the craftsmanship and the lining especially in this piece. Makes it look so cool and painterly!

I ADORE the hard line finishing details.VERY OG Borderlands cel shading type stuff.
It's giving Hotline Miami in a super fun, not beyond misdemeanor way 💜 Like the same feeling when you see the old videos of the wholesome ICP dad
Just found you, I absolutely love your character model and animation style! It's super expressive. Mask looks really great, epic paintwork. Keep it up, man!
Another excellent video! Loved the comic book aesthetic of the mask's details!
The mask came out really cool
to be honest the color coordination and way it looked it reminds me of borderlands. great job dude.
Love it!

I really like your style of animation. Its unlike any I've seen before. Its your own feel and vibe.

Really cool to see the process, and lovely animation as always!

You're doing a good job with your creative process.
There's your compliment.

Yoo that looks awesome. Really displaying the power of foam clay
I don't think I've ever met another person, floof, or being call resin "Hard Sauce"... *I shall add this to my gremlin vocabulary. Thank you, Rito! X3*
No, don't eat the hard sauce- it will make your everything soft and gooey for the rest of eternity
That’s actually cool ngl
