You’re a bit condescending
Management Hires LEAN Sensi. Lean Sensi asks employee" how long has that trash can been there? Employee reply's "about 30 years" Sensi say's " ah so that will never work we must move it three inches to reduce travel time" Sensi puts blue tape on the floor and places trash can in tape lines and then goes back to management and say's "I have made a reduction in travel time that will save you $80,000 per year. Management pays Sensi a huge payoff and tells him "that was a remarkable job you have done" . Employee trips over trash can gets pissed moves it back and because management is unwilling to admit they were wrong , hire's a new Sensi. I lived it and I don't find one damn thing entertaining about LEAN. Next comment will be about that waste of time you know as the TIB board.
Sounds like a scammy unsustainable consultant deal done by a lack of proper leadership.
that sounds like a strange way to implement 5s. the lean sensei should not decide where to locate the trashcan. That is missing the point of implementing 5s and LEAN by a mile or two.
its the employees task to identify a good location of the trashcan and then standardize its use and placement.
