Nargis Fakhri is not a Native hindi speaker. As we can see her lines were all dubbed by someone else in Rockstar. She is actually good when she gets to act in English. She played a cameo in spy but there she didn't have any lines, she also did a film with Rajkumar Rao and I frankly think she was good in that.
Mujhe aaj tak samajh me ni aaya ki Bollywood movies me pyar kaise ho jata hai ? stalking karke.. follow karke.. Daru pike.. Dance karke.. Aur fir bina matlab tragic ending why ?
Truly saying the movie is simply ordinary. But the songs & the placement of each of those songs along with each of its lines made it somewhat extraordinary.
actually if I look at the dishonest review, I do agree it seems a bit of romanticizing depression but but but but it will still be one of my favourite movies ! I think it was mostly because of Ranbir, songs & cinematography. Imtiaz has his way of making the movies look really beautiful

I feel the same way about Rockstar as I do about Animal. Good music, fantastic performance of a very flawed character by Ranbir Kapoor and extreme social media hype but not great story wise. Also, the shehnai note that follows the "aapke paas toh hi nahi hai" clip from Mann kills me every single time! 😂

The best illustration of how women will never understand men is this roast. The vibe of the film, which only Imtiaz Ali can produce, is the main USP of Rockstar. The plot of Rockstar revolves around a man who has always aspired to be famous. He will stop at nothing to gain popularity in music. Someone tells him that only a heartbroken person can create music and he is ready to have his heart broken. He eventually achieves his fame after lot of efforts and pain. However, he realises the value of true love in life when he achieves the pinnacles of fame. He is prepared to give up the most significant aspect of his life when he realises love, but it is already too late. What a lovely film. What a lovely reminder that nothing in life is so vital that you should devote all of your time and effort to it. Many men experience this. One excellent example is Virat Kohli, who has devoted his whole life to cricket and even played on the day of his father's passing. However, he recently stated that cricket is a part of his life and that his family is the most important thing in his life. Its the best example that nothing is more important than love. Returning to the story, the scene in which Ranbir Kapoor declines to kiss Aditi Rao Hydari demonstrates how devoted he is to "Heer" and how he no longer cares about any other girls, despite their beauty and attraction towards him, because he is in true love now. Rockstar is story of transformation of a man who pursues success but ultimately develops a yearning for love. Rockstar's storyline reminds me of profoundly moving novels that shake one's heart and spirit. One similar example is Vikramaditya Motwane's 'Lootera'. Unfortunately, Imtiaz Ali is born in India, a nation that only produces cheesy films like "Tees Maar Khan." How much dumb entertainment nonsense do you want to see in movies? Is a Kapil Sharma Show not enough? One day, we will understand Imtiaz Ali's role in depicting men's emotional struggles in Indian cinema, be it 'Tamasha' or 'Rockstar'. One day, we'll realise what a movie magician Imtiaz Ali is and how much emotion he could bring to each of his film scenes.
@@TheQuarterTicketShowIt has to do with the your video's topic. Films such as 'Rockstar' and 'Tamasha' depict the emotional juggernaut that a man faces throughout his life. So, I respectfully disagree with your claim that Rockstar is fake. This film is sacred to me. I find it strange that some people cannot grasp the depth of Tamasha, Rockstar, or Lootera. They call it boring. I hope you will eventually understand the emotional depth and vibes of these films. And I hope that one day you will create a video delving into the complexities of these films, which depict a man's emotional conflict between love and his passion.

Rockstar released when i was in 7th std and boys prepared a performance on saada haq and they failed to arrange guitars on performance day n that’s the only random memory i have related to that movie.
If Todd Phillips had made "Rockstar," he'd have a made a sequel naming it something like "Roackstar: La Dépression" where JJ sings songs with his dead lover Heer. I won't say how it ends but you can guess it.

saw it 3 more times after the first time (because pehli bar me mai so gaya tha , tum ho is a great track to sleep on also) but even after that i have seen it 3 times to "understand" it , i understand it but its drop dead boring for me still 😂
When it came out initially, i was obsessed with only the music. But the film took it's hold on me 2 years back ✌️ I would put Nargis's acting as the only take away, but whoever dubbed her made her tolerable ✨
I have a love-hate relationship with this movie 😭 But damnnnn the music and cinematography. Soundtracks like these will never be made again, i love the songs so much.

Honestly I never liked the movie and I've always thought to myself that people who claimed to like it were just pretending to. Thank you for saying all that!!! Glad to know there's someone who thinks the same way😅
But 'Kun Faya Kun' was on top of my playlist for years❤ ❤I think you're the only who described what 'Kun Faya Kun' makes me feel with utmost accuracy!
The song is extraordinary
Nope. You don't understand cinema, though flawed but Rockstar was a deep and philosophical movie with themes of alienation and detachment.
Waah ..Ek movie me apna opinion dene se wo Farah khan movie k fan ho jaate h🤣
Manna pdega kya soch h re teri
Aur baki iss movie me aisa kya deep aur philosophical tha , songs k alawa
Songs ko nikal diya jaaye to story utni deep nhi thi

one Chandrabindu song sums the whole film:

Tbh I loved rockstar Before it was viral on the reels and between those so called imtiaz ali fan who don't even watch his movies when it comes
5:38 This was brilliant and creative❤🤣
I was lawfing so hard when she started narrating the paryayvachis. Arre didi stand up karo stand up!
Baithne do umar ho gayi hai aab toh 😭
Mujhe aaj tak samajh me ni aaya ki Bollywood movies me pyar kaise ho jata hai ? stalking karke.. follow karke.. Daru pike.. Dance karke.. Aur fir bina matlab tragic ending why ?
So much comedy in love, they had to offset with tragedy
"Just because crush ko pasand" hai and that "tees maar khan" one too real 😭😂
Truly saying the movie is simply ordinary. But the songs & the placement of each of those songs along with each of its lines made it somewhat extraordinary.
Out of the world
Songs did the heavy lifting tbh wrna story kuch khas nhi thi, Ranbir was decent and the less said about Nargis the better.
actually if I look at the dishonest review, I do agree it seems a bit of romanticizing depression but but but but it will still be one of my favourite movies ! I think it was mostly because of Ranbir, songs & cinematography. Imtiaz has his way of making the movies look really beautiful
Yeah like Edgar Allen Poe poems. Morbid but aesthetic
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this. ❤ while the songs and bgm from this movie are my forever fav, the movie did zero justice to it.
I agree
Aap roz roz upload karke mujhe biggad dogi😅♥️ Awesome video as always🥰
Okay agle 3 mahine. No video.
JANARDAN IS ADITYA KASHYAP ( JAB WE MET ) FROM PARALLEL WORLD. ADITYA KO DUMB LADKI MILI TO VO JUD GYA .... OR JANARDAN KO DUMB LADKI MILI TO VO TOOT GYA...... YOU KNOW ? YOU GET IT ??/?? HAHAHA LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
I accept it has some glaring flaws, but It was the product of that time and I guess our generation kind of lived that character (Jordan) and that story.
I really wanted you to make a dishonest review on my fav movie hum aapke hain kaun, btw amazing video ❤❤
2:22 yes, sense hai is baat ka. This is called irony and foreshadowing, which is handled very well in this scene.
This also comes to character want vs character needs. Which is also very well handled
Denial is the first stage of grief
I feel the same way about Rockstar as I do about Animal. Good music, fantastic performance of a very flawed character by Ranbir Kapoor and extreme social media hype but not great story wise.
Also, the shehnai note that follows the "aapke paas toh hi nahi hai" clip from Mann kills me every single time! 😂
Damn ! That's a great analogy
Best work of urs i have seen yet is story of ranbir kapoor cinematic carrier lived in Rockstar ..... Love ur brain😊 ❤❤❤
Mai so gaya tha movie me, first day 3rd show dekha tha iska, I regret spending my money on this movie, un dino waise hi paise bahut mushkil se milte the
Sach me yaar, paiso ki kamee is a fact
Rockstar was my favourite movie, when it first release back in 2011, I saw the movie 3 times when there was no Instagram.
You're one of the OGs then
Bro me and my friends watched rockstar in kota during our aipmt(now neet) preparation days! The climax was the best part of the movie and music complemented it!I remember the sheer silence in the theatre when heer died and jahaan me jaha pe bhi started playing, all of us felt that loss!!
I still feel that void in my heart when heer and jordan werent together at last. Jordan wasn't happy even though he had all the fame, he always wanted but still he cant be Happy anymore.

Wow. I seem to have triggered something that has nothing to do with this video. Do you wanna talk about it? I am here.
Calm down Bhai ...itna bhi seriously nahi lena hota hai, this roast is just for fun...everyone feels his pain and I'm sure everyone who watched rockstar cried along with it
@@Jonathankeppler I get your point. Everyone is hurt someway or the other. They have different ways of dealing with it. I use humour to deal with trauma. What to do now? I can't change my personality within a second na, just like you can't either. We can coexist. It is okay. Calm down.
Haha. Why would you automatically assume that calling out Rockstar or Tamasha on their flaws automatically means tees maar khan is a masterpiece. Nobody is saying that bro.
0:14 That was too harsh, I agree that the heroine's acting was bad, but the movie was good, and no one making such movie. come on at least you got a movie to roast 💀
Exactly. Just unsubscribed because of the stupidity, this movie was on everybody's tongue when it was released, my house was filled with songs of it and I loved that movie back then. So yeah im one of those ppl in insta and pint that is saying the movie is amazing
@@miyieqska movie having one of the best music track albums, if not the best, doesn't make it a great movie. And while some people do love the movie as it is, for various reasons, the social media generation makes movies like rockstar a thing purely because of nostalgia and aesthetics, no one can deny that.
