This a quick first to 2 or best of 3 match between the number 2 ranked player (me) and the number 1 ranked player (Shadow32). We were near each other to play this game but we play online and have a discord that ranks all of the members. Think you have what it takes to beat us? Then come join our discord. "Competitive Tenkaichi" is the most absurd thing i've ever heard in my entire life, I love it.
Look up paige bt3 on youtube. That's highest level of tenkaichi 3. What me and my friend are doing here is childsplay compared to them. Check them out to see some real gameplay.

I miss this game. I was killer with broly, goku, majin vegeta and super 17. With super 17 I literally just stood still and let my opponents come to me and and I could counter everything you threw at me, except for a few energy beam you could not absorb. Hell I was decent with Chioztu (I know I spelled his name wrong)
I was demonic with gotenks ss3, goku ss3, teen gohan ss2, goten and kid trunks, holy fuck, my cousing would leave the room after 2 matches and NOT comeback
The meta for this game must be very interesting if Cell Jr of all characters is viable..
he's not viable. I just decided to use him. Also, I wasn't very experienced with the competitive mechanics of bt3. look up Paige bt3, he's the best player in the world. The top tier characters are frequently played.

When you think Tenkaichi competitive you would expect ssj4 Gogeta but instead you get Cell Jr. I love it.
no it does involve ssj4 Gogeta lol. This is before I got exposed to the competitive scene. gogeta ssj4 is top tier. I never got really that good. Never really practiced.
Why won’t some big company remake BT3? It’d be a hit I feel like.. just an updated roster with better graphics and maybe a story mode through every saga up to DBS. Idk that’d be so cool

I'm happy to see that this game still has a following and maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, but, my buddy and I used to play this religiously. I don't want to emulate and I refuse to play on any other console than the ps2 for this game. It's crazy that this game is almost $300 for a good hard copy, but there was something about it... the regular matches are cool, and I can appreciate the skill here, but what do I really miss? Having 15 minute long password character fights! I know I know, "password characters", but for me they were the most intense and closest to how I imagine DB fights going. Im not mocking, but to read that you guys are top players makes me wonder what level we were on, cause the fights were INSANE and what you'd expect from DB. Regular matches were good, but our password matches? Those were the stuff of LEGENDS. Love and miss this game, no other fighter feeds the need I have for intense badassery.

Wow... I loved this game as a kid but man. So ahead of its time. Watching this is at least 20x more entertaining than watching FighterZ pro e-sports. If they remastered this game with online, it'd hold king of e-sports fighters for at LEAST 3 years. Petitions don't matter to the company so I won't even say we should make one. Dozens have been made. Whoever made these online mods or whatever system, props to you. I have both the normal and modded version, I like that the modded has Dragon Ball Super Characters. I wish we could use that version for online
You can but since its a ps2 iso the netplay options aren't good. Pcsx2 online is bad and parsec is okay but its not fair. Dolphins evens out the netplay lag so it's fair. Also the files for Tenkaichi were lost or something. There's a reason it's not another one

wow another EU player commenting on my video :), thanks for the comment!!! Paige showed me how good dolphin netplay is. I like parsec though as it is a huge step up from pcsx2 netplay. It depends on who i'm playing with honestly. This match was in person on pcsx2. And yeah its an original competitive match lol tryna get something going.

Yes but not how you think lol. I have a discord server and i coded a bot that keeps track of wins and losses then makes a leaderboard. So its ranked for my discord. This is an old video tho and ive gotten a better since then. Still not high level

Yessir how brave cannon is 2 bars. Its not very good though.
Why play Cell Jr? I remember tapion and kid buu being very good, but cell jr has low damage and health, and his supers aren’t low ki cost which is usually the trade off for weak power level.
Just felt like it. Tapion isn't that good but kid Buu definitely is. I main Tapion still though

Hmmm it would be an "improvement". But idk if they'll do it since it would drastically change the gameplay. I'm certain they want that authentic Tenkaichi feel. Seeing as how they had the cutscene for Goku transforming in the trailer. That at also slows the game down alot when you have to see that cutscene everytime you transform.
Don't wanna be rude but tbh European BT3 is nothing compared to competitive BT4 here in LATAM lol, this is the average level of my friends who dont play the game that much

You just need a good pc, good internet and dolphin emulator. We haven't had another tournament in a while tho with people being occupied with irl stuff. We'll have another one eventually god willing but you'll find matches still and there is a leaderboard to compete with ranking

Im having an argument with my friends and they tell me its possible to use meter to just instantly get out of a combo like in the Naruto games substitution jutsu they said you just press a button and it gets you out of being combo'd is that true? I say no.
I dont know what you mean by "meter". You can do an emergency explosive wave that costs you health. You can get out of a combo that way but it can be punished.
@@FunkayMonkay149 Like Ki and the other resource; the blue meter to transform and stuff. They pretty much just said it was possible to instant transmission attacks while being combo'd (being hit.)
@@LordOverTheLightOfRa instant transmission is not possible mid combo, neither is wild sense. The only moves you can do to escape mid combo using the transform bar is after image, explosive waves, and energy barriers. Nothing can be done using your ki though. Hopefully someone else chimes in if I made a mistake or missed something.
EDIT: Z-Counter is another means to escape a combo but it just involves timing. Unfortunately I'm not good at z countering lol. The only thing about a countering is the one with the least amount of ki is better off since if you get into an exchange of vanishes, the person with the lowest ki will be able to resume with another combo often at the other person's back.

You could said that you were chilling with a friend in DBZ BT3. But ranked? That's wasn't necesary, in terms of "skills", this is ok, not even "ranked level"; you could said: "Discord Ranked...", not only "Ranked" because is not of the whole world. Still fun to watch the video. I would like to see your improvement.

I played the wii version.
The one we play online now is the Wii version. We use dolphin emulator netplay. On my discord server we have a setup document.

Could anyone please explain when you can sidestep me and my brother have very different ways of doing the basic combos(we only play wii) and I do a lot aaa B(or a B charged) but he shakes the the nunchuck and it kinda creates like an extension which he combos into more extension and I have a hard time snap vanishing out of it, but I get he can side step when I charge most type me of ab combos but even when I don’t it’s like his timing is immaculate so if anyone could show or explain this to me better please help I’m ussually the better just due to my pressure ability but his combo ability is better

Also how does snap dodge into an ultimate work where you don’t even see the name of the ultimate you use I’ve done it a lot on accident feels really inconsistent but I can’t figure out the exact input of things happening
