Extra points for slowing the boat down to idle on a nice fish. So many videos (and guides) cranking along at full troll speed with a fish on.... "Look at that one taking the line! What a run!" I think some of those guys gas it up for effect! Love all your vids.

Yes, there are some Big Springs in Rivers Inlet. In 1976 I was a Guide at Good Hope Cannery Lodge,... The biggest fish that was landed that year was by another guide from Victoria. He caught it (with no guests onboard) out at the Mouth of the Inlet, just a big Cut Plug herring and an 8oz Banana weight (no Flasher) He played it for 4 hours, ,... It weighed out at just over 70 Lbs.

nice piece; super rewarding; I fish for wild kings in SE Alaska; inside waters; Your video is so professionaol and caring ...........respectful; I always put my boat(Duckworth/offshore) in neutral when we have a nice fish on. It is sad that we no longer can fish for Taku or Stikine wild fish; but they are caught by many as they move to inside waters.

Thanks for the great video, Rivers Inlet is indeed a special place. I been fortunate enough to two land two chinook there. These are powerful fish, and one quickly understands why the reels are call knuckle busters.

1992 I couldn't BELIEVE Canfor (Canadian Forest Products) were allowed to log down to within a 100 yards of the water, at the Inlet spawning entrance. It changed the rivers run; count barrels were left high and dry. I know, as a BC resident for decades, that Canfor is basically a political employment dump for high end politicians, but this was a mess.

6:25 "Right rod to rocks" doesn't always jive with the Collision Regulations in the Cananda Shipping Act. =/ "That guy" on channel 16 screaming at others about who has has right of way usually has never read them. I just follow the general rule of don't be "that guy." Awesome fishing adventure though! Must be nice indeed!

I love fishing, i really love fishing, ive had boats but i dont have or do very many others afford or own a $300 hundred grand boat and can afford 16 gallons an hour on gas
(he says it economical...lol) thats 64 liters x $2.00 a liter only$128.00 Dollars an hour. Must be nice to be rich or work on a tv show about fishing and have access to such adventures. How about filming a fish show thats not for the rich.
