Happy for you, but I’d is so frustrating as a regular person that rich people keep buying all the property and driving prices way past what we can afford. I’m a teacher and I can’t even purchase a house in my area because people keep doing what you and your parents are doing. It really sucks.
That’s not the fault of investors buying properties tho. The problem lies within US zoning laws which makes it very hard for developers to keep building homes.
hey I know confrontation is never fun and you guys don't want to be on a creepy mans bad side but as long as u guys are putting up with it, he's gonna continue to think that its okay to talk to people in that way. if you're inside the coffee shop and in a situation where its clear that customers/employees will overhear the convo, i think u should say something to him like, "we're not okay with the way you speak to us" or "the disrespect you're showing us everyday is not okay." It doesn't need elaboration. You can simply say it on your way out and leave so there isn't time for him to argue. Ofc if standing up to him will compromise your safety in any way then let it be, but at least don't humor him when he is being blatantly homophobic and misogynistic every day. I'm sorry you've been put in such an uncomfy situation :/

Yes! Rich people are doing this in low income areas and contributing to gentrification 😢 Personally, I’d feel bad just buying properties that I won’t even be living in just to make passive income while others struggle to even buy a home.

Your friend looks absolutely beautiful. Her surgeries look like they have gone very well. I use to work in a burn unit and saw really great plastic surgery work and I can see she is healing and looking healthy and beautiful.

People who don't need extra money buying up houses and driving up the market is the reason people can't afford to buy homes. Totally understand wanting your kids to have what you didn't, but it's things like this that make me wonder if Christi hasn't gone too far in the other direction. And that's not to say that Chloe isn't a lovely, hardworking, humble person. Just that insane amounts of privilege can leave you a little ignorant to the way things work, you know? Or at the least give you a slightly rose colored view of reality. I hope her and her parents are able to take a step back, appreciate what they have, and understand devastating stuff like this is for people just trying to get by.

My exact thoughts, it’s so ridiculous that rich people feel the need to get more rich and truly take away from the disadvantage.
Ugh yeah I rolled my eyes when she said it was going to be a short term rental. I love Chloe and she does seem very humble and appreciative of everything she has and is able to do, but contributing to the already awful housing problem is probably my least favorite way rich people spend their money
Especially in NOLA where most of the locals are still rebuilding and/or can’t find housing after the hurricane last year.
It’s not the average person buying a home that’s driving up the prices. It’s large corporations & foreign investors you need to research the issue a bit more, being bitter about someone sharing exciting news kind of makes you look like jerk in the first place but it makes seem like an ignorant jerk when you don’t even understand the issue your complaining about.

I’m sorry y’all had that experience at the coffee place. I swear it’s men like that who will try talking to, and flirting with women who they have no chances with, they’ll say the most creepy and sometimes disrespectful things, and somehow think that us females will automatically fall in love with them, when no female with an actual brain would want them….Then they ask stupid questions with answers that are very obvious even to them, but they make you wonder if they’re actually stupid and truly don’t know anything…or if they’re just acting stupid to start problems. Then if us women put them in their places, and shut them down…..we’re somehow the bad guys, they get all offended and try to either shame us, or attack us….and men wonder why us females often times get scared to out anywhere whether it’s day or night, whether we’re alone or not.
They're the worst. I don't understand what is going through their minds to make them think this is ok. If I ever have a son I will raise him to make sure he's nothing like these "men".

Please be careful, their are so many dangerous people in this world. Them making bets about your relationship just shows how weird they are, but the fact that this guy keeps coming up and talking to you is completely wrong. Now that he has done this a couple of times is really a problem. Maybe have a male friend our your Dad (if he's in town) go with you and see what he does.
