I hope Bruce Willis can find peace. Dementia is such an awful disease.
Unfortunately, the only peace will come with death. Grams battled it for 20 years. Was never the same
Thankfully he hasn’t reached full blown dementia yet. He has aphasia. I hope he lives his best life with his family and maybe could even do some small roles or cameos if he’s able.
@@masonmurphy6009 My grandma was diagnosed with dementia. Two and a half year later she was in the better place. Dementia is horrible and it fucks up brain.
@@izzy2296The man has a terrible illness and hasn’t been listed, why are you being a twunt?
Now I feel bad for really shitting on his acting in the last couple movies he’s been in. Him having aphasia explains a lot
The fact he told Bruce “no” twice shows how dedicated he is to his stories
Or he already signed these people to contract and can't change things legally
@@CleanAxe if your too dumb to understand contracts I don't know what to tell you.
@@CleanAxe Also Miramax was a low budget studio making pulp fiction a cheap.film that only cost 8 million. They didn't need a star in the movie.
@@CleanAxe Did you watch the documentaries? Miramax was going to let tarantino make the movie with Michael Madsen and Paul Calderone as the two hitmen. Are those guys stars?
As an alltime-Pulp-Fiction lover I'm glad he did it (saying twice "no", about the Vincent-character and the Jules-character, that is)
I could listen to this guy talk about movies all day
and he'd talk to you all day too.
Watch him talk about every movie ever made in 1978. Google it clear your schedule for the next four hours.

Imagine sharing a ball with him
I can't imagine anyone else saying "Zeds dead, Baby. Zeds dead."

Yep. Zed. The correct way to say the letter Z. 🙂

Iconic
Such a good sport Bruce Willis. Despite being the biggest star he didn’t let his ego get in the way of a good story being told in the way the author intended 🎉🎉
Which is why I absolutely love 12 Monkeys
Ah Bruce...he nailed that role perfectly and added so much to the movie. His presence and realism was incredible. Prayers for u big guy. Legitimate tough and kind guy
All he wanted was his watch and a little bit of oral pleasure
Quentin is such a masterful storyteller
he co wrote pulp fiction
Well he is a writer
@@aicsynthesizer No, he was definitely the main writer. He did a majority of the work.
For real dude should be writing in Hollywood
He should write movies or something.
I can't imagine anyone else but Bruce Willis playing Butch. He was incredible. 👌
Sylvester Stalone
@@greenman7yyy😂 no
Slys ace but no
This is the same as saying you cant picture anyone else playing Colonel Kurtz. He played the part and played it very well. We cant picture anyone else playing it because our memory is set in seeing Bruce as Butch nothing more not because he was incredible. Brando as Kurtz was incredible, though.
He look good because Butch is him, it was like Quentin wrote that character based on Bruce Willis...even their name was spot on 😂
he was perfect for that role too.
Everyone down to the gimp were perfect in their roles.
@@kh7688😆
that's a huge compliment coming from vincent vega.
@jameshudson169 A little surprising, too. Considering what happened when he came out of the toilet. He went straight back in...for good.

Butch choosing a weapon is one my all-time favourite scenes 😂
Is that a katana on the wall or are you just happy to see me? 😀
Non-stop weapon of opportunity upgrades 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Bruce as Butch was SO interesting!!!👍👍
He was the worst part of the movie!! The character wasn't just interesting and never had a chance, I always skip his part
@@RED01SEAI bet you have the buttfucking scene on repeat though.
@@donny303 that is one of the reasons why I skip the Bruce Willis parts , all of that just to lead into a BDSM weird scene, such a waste of time

Dillon got to be kicking his own BALLS TO THIS DAY!!!
I just don’t and can’t see Matt Dillion playing that role. The roles were perfectly
@@CIF-pm7tk Why? The dude was a teen heartthrob at a time when you could bang your way across America and the worst that would happen was you got an STD that you could knock out with penicillin. That dude got more ass than a toilet seat at Tommy's Chili Burgers before he was 18. A true porksmith. Over the Edge, man!
@@CIF-pm7tk I think Matt Dillion is such an unappreciated actor. I can see him playing the role but Bruce was just perfect for it
@@EJD339 I can agree
@@EJD339I only see him from The Outisders
I love stories where actors are fully on board with a film that they will take on any role
It feels good when they are able to make decisions as artists instead of potential employees.
Like Brad Pitt in Snatch
Man this just reminds me what’s going on with Bruce Willis now and it makes me really sad. He’s one of my very favourite actors and to see him decline like this is heartbreaking.
Pulp Fiction. Favorite movie of all time.
He was amazing as Butch. One of my favorite Bruce Willis roles.
Pulp Fiction is just one of those movies that never gets old no matter howmany times I watch it.
Have you ever watched it with a linear timeline?
@@nikoniko893 With linear, do you mean each segment uninterrupted ?
@@mortanos8938 I mean like in sequence like in real time
Bruce Willis is my 11 year old daughter’s favorite actor. Her favorite movie is Diehard. I haven’t let her watch pulp fiction yet but in a couple of years she is going to love it.
How about The Fifth Element? No more violent than Die Hard (the best xmas movie)
thats awesome dude
Good call. This film will be there for her when the time is right.
My favorite movies are The sixth sense, Unbreakable trilogy, Death becomes you, The kid, Die hard, 12 monkeys , The whole nine yards, Armageddon, Look who's talking.
So basically half of his filmography
I still stick to moonlight my first one with a sexy 😊
“I know he’s black!”
But he could just be a hipster dude. 😅 Jules had to be black , it just worked that way and he did a great job. Bruce played Butch better....it worked.
That same thinking lead to The Return of Bruno
"I'm playing Jules, Bruce."
May Dillion would have been a good butch too
RDJ could have done it. “What do you mean you people?”
When this movie came out, I went back the next day and saw it again. Still one of my favorites. Bruce ❤️
Bruce playing Butch was such a heartfelt role for that guy. He brought so much empathy to that dude in a touch spot
This is so bizarre. Just today out of the blue, I wondered about how Quentin got Bruce WiIlis to be in this film. This short shows up. I'm really starting to believe we're in a simulation.
Your brain waves are entangled with the microwaves that your device is constantly transmitting and Receiving. Your paired with your device via quantum entanglement. Spooky action at a distance ?
If you talked about it, then it makes sense. Our phones are listening. Happens to me daily
@@justinschrank4806 it’s way scarier. They know who you send messages to through text and dm and curate your explore pages based on what they look up and respond to
Even when there off
Just think about all the times you thought about something like that and no short appeared related to it
One of the greatest casters ever!
Secret is that Bruce never read the script a final time , he just wanted to be in 😅
Honestly, a very insightful perspective 😅
I thought the same thing
Source ?
Please dont retire after your next movie! I want at least 5 more Tarantino movies!!!
the fact that he decided to not do his "The Critic" movie shows that he is struggling with the whole "one last movie" thing. It's a stupid rule. It's gonna be painful for him to decide what it's gonna be. He should set his bar like this: think about doing 5 movies instead. Take your time. And if you do only 2 or 3, so be it. No pressure. And if you want do more than 5 when you get there then that's fine as well.
Quentin casts people that make you go “what is he thinking”? Then you see it and are like “okay I get now”. He’s exceptional at what he does
I saw this movie before I should have, and I loved it, and 30 years later, I still love it.
He played Butch, perfectly. ❤
Butch is the most magnanimous character in it! Glad he said yes.
The genius of this cat
He can make casting decisions sound epic
And what a movie it was
Probably his best in my opinion
Definitely my favorite Bruce Willis part ever
Matt is a great actor but Bruce Willis is waaaaaay more suitable for the role of Butch.
And it was one of Bruce's best ever roles.
It’s cool when things turn out the way they should.
In the world !!! This dude casting agent is one of the best in the business
It’s one of Bruce’s first brilliant acting performance imo. it was good watching him play a role where he wasn’t a huge action hero and more gritty performance 💯
Give Bruce Willis his well deserved 💐. Man is one of the greats. 💯❤️
Whatta great Bruce Willis story. I love Quentin ❤😊
Bruce was perfect!!
QT, Is the Best!!! I LOVE all his movies, he's #1in my mind... Thanks
Stuck to his guns....and understood the vision....thia is why pulp fiction is a classic.
I love it when big name actors ask, at the time new, directors for a role in their next movie. A similar thing happened with Brad Pitt and Gue Richie. He contacted Richie after loving the Lock, stock and 2 smoking barrels movie. That's how we got Pitt in the classic film Snatch.
And he was incredible in Snatch. That garbled Irish brogue was freaking hilarious! One of Pitt's best roles, along with Fight Club and Once Upon A Time... Imho.
Bruce Willis made it almost for free too this and 12 Monkeys he was really dedicated
I can't imagine anyone other than Bruce saying, "Zed's dead, baby''.
I would listen to this guy reading all day long
I just finished watching glass again and then read this what a great bloke Bruce Willis must be best wishes in much compassion to him and his family
Love Bruce . . . Still
And always ❤❤❤
It's always incredible how quickly into his career Tarantino got these HUGE stars to be in his movies.
I love screenplay stories. This one lands so well. The idea of anyone else playing Butch is just crazy to me and to think that Bruce was begging for a part is both immensely flattering and telling that is why he brought so much passion to the character and I wish he could've done more rolls with Ving Rhames I think is out of the park as well.
Who wouldn't be a big fan of Reservoir Dogs? That movie is gold. Like everything Tarantino does.
Bruce Willis, while recognized as a “star”, is an underrated actor.
Pulp Fiction is one of the craziest movie of Tarantino, Bruce got the most regular character but in the most disturbed scene
Matt Dillion would have killed that roll
One of the best bad arse part in any movie EVER!
anyone else but Bruce Willis playing Butch. He was incredible.
That cast was perfection, well done.
Bruce Willis was so charming and awesome in that role. The way he was handling his own emotions and his girl in that role was amazing.
Would not have a movie with Bruce or should I say Butch
God bless Bruce and that dementia. Been watching him since at least pre school. Always felt he was a genuine guy in real life
We love, adore, respect and send you strength, Bruce. Thank you for all of it.
I can’t imagine anyone else playing Butch. That one is a big staple in Tarantino’s movie history.
I feel the same about Christoph waltz as Hans landa
Stalone would have been good. Even better, Nicholas Cage would have killed it...
@@billzusner4873 Zed's dead baby. Zed's dead

I'm just so grateful the parts went the way they did. Perfect just as is.
Butch is clearly the best part

The coolest? Yes. The best performance? Nope. I can't choose betveen Travolta and Samuel Jackson.
@@DaniloDanny77I agree he is the coolest
I still remember miss Villalobos way of saying "butch". Her voice and accent made her more hot yet.
And what a Butch we got. Bruce Willis all day long bro.
Love how QT gives room for organic input to both listening to Bruce W with respect and at the same time prompting him to another role which Bruce completely nailed. There are so many great actors in minor roles which creates a collective lead of characters. Amazing timeless work by QT and how he found the right cast members. A true level of providence
Poor Matt Dillon. Quentin was just about to blast off into interstellar cinematic space.
It wouldve been an actual crime to replace samuel L jackson in that role. He made the right choice with that one
GREAT movie. One of the greatest cinematic experiences of my life. The theatre was alive, the laughter was a roar. Great time.
That Classic Movie 🎥 is 30 years old, time flies, 90’s & 80’s hit different
QT just has a knack for great casting and direction.
No one loves Quentin like Quentin. ❤ i still love his movies.
I love this sooo much! Quentin is such a great story teller!!!
The videos of Bruce now are so sad, but his family's love really makes the best of a crappy situation.
“Mr funny face” hahahah that voice
BRUCE WILLIS will always be my fantastic hero! Never forget. He was so awesome. Maybe pray for him? 🙏
I could listen to him for long
He helped round this masterpiece out. One of the best movies ever!!
Me too about Bruce Willis firstly and yes I could listen to Tarrentino talk about movies all day too! David❤❤
Loved this pod!
And That role is the best role Bruce Willis has ever done. Perfection. He’s done bigger roles, but that’s his best.
Thank goodness Bruce got the part. That masterpiece would never have been possible without him.
Bruce was amazing as Butch. I hope he is well looked after and his loved ones are ok. Dementia is a terrible thing, I know, a parent had it. My heart goes out to them all.
Everyone of these iconic movies starts with a blank sheet of paper, yet once you see them, you can't imagine anyone else playing the parts.
Fascinating. to know this, Quentin Tarantino describing the making of the film and the reading of the Script by Bruce Willis. you really couldn't imagine anybody else other than Bruce Willis playing Butch. Quentin Tarantino such a monumental Talent ,I like all of his films. all of them are truly great films.
I grew up in Romania with Bruce Willis movies 🎥 , every time he would appear in some scene he gave me the feeling that everything will be alright
Bruce Willis, one of the greatest of all time, in my humble opinion.
He read the part picturing him kill john travolta and went, I'm in
Nice! 😅
Pulp fiction was and still my number one movie of all times, I watched more than 10 times and it still entertain me each time, such a masterpiece
One of the best Movies ever made have enjoyed so many times always something another great thing you see.The dialog s are 100% awesome ✌🏼
If only to be friends with Quinton watching movies and talk about them. So passionate about movies.
Just another example of Quentin genius.
This man is a goated storyteller ❤ one of the best to ever do it
😂That look Butch gave Vincent right before he blew him away? Pure classic!😅
I remember watching Pulp Fiction for the first time in the theater. Many people walked out half way through. I was shocked they wouldn’t see it through.
Butch is prbl my favorite character in all of Tarantino films. He was a good guy with a code and rescued his enemy Marsellus Wallace from certain death
The choice of Bruce Willis was fortuitous. It not only added a certain gravitas and charm to that role, but it also put a very marketable name with the title and that took an indie film to the mainstream.
I can't imagine the movie with out Bruce Willis ❤❤❤❤
