So down to earth and honest. This is a real artist using the instrument to get out what is on the inside. I think she will blow up as people are wanting to hear and see more real music. Samantha is the real deal.
Absolutely better than anything coming out in the popular crap.
She smokes 'em all!
Samantha is SUCH a talented guitar player, with so much range and mood, it's crazy. Best of luck to you forever, Madam Fish.
A very humble rockstar! Wish you all the best Samantha!
This Gentleman is the best interviewer in pg bar none. Others are great too, but this guy i so sensitive, friendly, interested and informed. Awesome pro work.
She is so great. Genuine person and genuinely talented.
I always like when the artist does their own rig rundown, extra bonus if they play through it!
So refreshing to see someone who doesn’t think a guitar has to be vintage to sound good!
Totally agree and I like that it’s just stock , think artists who take the money to do “signature models” should tour with their model straight out the box . Chris Robertson from Black Stone Cherry is the only one I know with his PRS who does ,he just changes the strings cos he likes 9s and it ships with 10s
What?!?!!? Who said that?
Truth. So tired of that vintage talk.
100%. It struck me immediately. The guy was actually fishing for that, thinking maybe just maybe that guitar is much older than it looks and it'll trigger some golden anecdote... nope! it's not old at all, and completely stock. I'm one of those people who can't hear the difference between a '59 Strat and a '64 Firebird. I can't define what makes great tone, but I know it when I hear it, and she's got it.
This is the best rig rundown I've seen. The interviewer acts like a fan trying to get as much information as possible. Really good job. And Samantha is just so cool. And a BEAST!
Love her music, love her voice, love her down to earth attitude. Proper guitar hero 👍
Saw her live. Great show, amazing guitar player. Super nice person.
Samantha guitar goddess! Keep it alive, girl! The blues flows from you, and I love your slide playing!
Soooo talented and not anywhere near the amount of video views she should have, it actually pizzes me off. She's real and very good.
Samantha rocks!
She is already very talented, and it is obvious that she is enjoying her trade. Watching her jam with Kenny Wayne Sheppard and Joe Bonamassa makes you realize that she is a true force on guitar.
Love this stuff. Can't wait to hear her in person. Thanks Samantha! I don't know why anyone gives a thumbs down to this. Obviously not fans of anything.
She's been around so long...glad to see her finally getting some attention.
Samantha Fish is so fun to see live. Great job Ted!
That was a great "rundown". Samantha seems like a really humble person who enjoys what's she's doing. I like the enthusiasm to demonstrate her gear and acquire instruments that might be a little beyond her reach financially, but hopefully not for much longer. Just like the rest of us. Cool
Samantha, love to hear about your setup. Been following for years. Will finally see you live in Berlin this month.
Yeah!
Keepin't the music alive!
I've seen her 5 times so far! I got 2 pictures taken with her, and 2 autographed CDs! She is awesome!
She is a total badass love her playing
She sounds like a more interesting guitar player than what I have seen her do in music videos.
MrNihilist74 Go see her. She’s lighting up the stage all over the country
Robert Whitcomb I saw her in December in Greenville, NC. She was phenomenal. Could almost reach out and touch her we were that close. I can’t wait to see her again.
Gotta love Sam Fish. Great player and I love how much fun she has discovering and using new gear while also staying down to earth and being on the simpler side regarding effects. I've just seen that she's coming to Europe for a few shows next year. I'll certainly be at one of those!
you have to see her live on stage. Cant decide whats better: her voice or her guitar. WOW!
Her undercarriage...
Samantha - You are totally awesome, real, and humble! Can't wait to see you in Atlanta later this year! Great interview PG!
When did she play Atlanta???
@@jessicahayes625 It was supposed to be in November with Kenny Wayne Shepard but it has been postponed.
I discovered her last month I guess and I'm really happy that I did it. Her new album is awesome!
Its nice to see a host of these Rig Rundowns that actually is knowledgable about the Artist and their history and catalog.
Sammy , your the best my dear!!! Keep rising higher n higher and b4 long - no one will catch you !!!!!........the new album is Excellent!!!!!......
Way above average "rig rundown"with an artiest. So cool to hear her plug in yet keep it simple. REVERSE EFFECT IS INSANE JIMI H!
Always enjoy Samantha's music!
Thanks for sharing PG!
Be Well Samantha!
Awesome performer - fantastic live
I could watch and listen to her for hours. Music, gear talk, whatever. She has me hooked👌🏾
Samantha and Chris, you guys changed my life. The first time I ever heard of you was when I saw you on RUclips playing the cigarbox in your bare feet and I was dumbfounded. Chris keeps me amazed as well and I've purchased everything I can find that you've produced. I'm driving a full day to see you in Pensacola in a few weeks and I hope to God I get to meet you and Chris. Thanks for all you do and I can't wait to see your show! Love ya both!
Who’s Chris?
Beautiful talented young doll knows her stuff I'm just happy she's sharing it with us ,as I was worried due to the loss of many blues legends like bb king ,but thanks to artist like the awesome samantha fish ,the blues is alive and well!!
We all love her!
Fantastic interviewer, great interviewee, and cool gear! Well done everybody!
Ok
To go to a Samantha live show is one of the best live shows you will.attend as soon as she is on stage steps forward to the Mic and starts to play her guitars memorable nights begin these are great videos as a fan for your favourite artists 😎
What a cool gal! I love that she got her guitar via mail order and is so down to earth.
Thanks for the update. It had been a while since her last rig rundown and her rig has changed a lot.
Bruce Wailes 2014 I think
Sam playing through her pedal board is better than most other concerts. Just her little riff grabs are so cool and tight.
That JHS Tidewater pedal is sooo cool! And Samantha Fish is even cooler :)
Really enjoyed the interview - nice to hear the gear/stompbox playing done - thanks for sharing your setup with us.
She's just amazing.
She mentioned the Chicago Music Exchange where she got the Danelectro from. If you're a guitar freak like many of us, there are about 10 shops in the US that are like our Mecca. CME is one. It's just an experience all on it's own. You can get anything from a $500,000 59 Les Paul to a $300 Epiphone. And everything in between. If you happen to find yourself in Chicago, it's well worth the trip. Just like if you're in Northern Indiana, you should swing by Sweetwater.
I’ve been in awe just in Louisville area stores since getting back into playing. I’ll have to check them out when I’m up there again. Thanks!🤘
@@kel5944 That's one city I have yet to explore. I will one day. I have done the Nashville music store crawl and it was also epic. So many to choose from. From the big chains to the small mom & pop shops. Because it's Nashville, they all are just badass stores
@@valuedhumanoid6574 I doubt Louisville is comparable, but if you find yourself here don’t miss Mom’s Music, Maxwell’s House of Music and Music-Go-Round for used and less common guitars. We also have a Guitar Center.
It’s so cool to see someone else that enjoys the slide on a cigar box guitar. I’m trying to learn slide guitar myself... closing in on three years now in a few months. She is just too cool 😎
🤘🏻🤘🏻
Good evening from Phoenix, Arizona! Samantha Fish is ABSOLUTELY Incredibly insanely beautiful and is the modern day Guitar Samurai. Amazingly knowledgeable with her guitars, Samantha, enjoy your life and be good to yourself! 🙂
Samantha is the real deal, i love the fish caster
DL4 is a beast Samantha, you're gonna love it....
Saw her at Ponte Vedra Sunday night what a great performer and a super small venue so was really close to stage Her guitar playing was super energetic and such a sexy voice and persona I'm in love!!
the gal - great - the gear - super -and wow the interviewer already new every detail - good job hat guy /sr editor . i would enjoy seeing her perform live very much .
You would enjoy seeing her perform. The girl owns the room when she plays. I've enjoyed seeing her every time I've managed to be where she is playing.
I’m going to see her in Philly in December. First time and I can’t wait! ✌🏼🎼
awesome! she's so great and so nice!
We Love her to pieces!
I see every show when she gets near where I live. Love Samantha
Sam is so easy to like and love . Sam is the perfect musician ,,,, humble , ego free and continuing to learn.
We love some Samantha Fish down here in new Orleans.. Those guitars rock . I really like the sg . That was my first real guitar when I was around 15.. Bullet proof is a gigantic song. Great skills . It's all rock and roll dirty on samantha's stage!!
Saw her last night in Helsinki! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PLAYER
Wow! Loved your interview Samantha! Learned a lot of what you used to make awesome blues music with your guitar and pedal techniques!! You’re a wonderful down to earth woman!! Keep’em Rockin out there on the tour!!! Hope to see you in KC later on! 🎸🎼🎤
Chicago Music Exchange is THE place to find something unique, that's for sure. LOVE that place.
Just saw her at Terminal West, here in Atlanta Ga. Such a talent and killer player. Stage presence is grand! I wish her nothing but success. I'm in Love. Peace.
Saw her on an old Guitar Magazine CDROM. Been in luv ever since.
She's really carved out a unique, original style and sound for herself: the hybrid picking, slide, open tuning....no Strats or Les Pauls. It's refreshing.
What a sweetheart! Love your work. ❤️
Simply I could watch Samantha talk and play all.day she is special 😎
I’ve seen quite a few videos and really dig her music. First time to hear her talk much, good to see she seems to be a cool “normal” person. Good video 👍
I got to see her at the show after this interview at 3rd & Lindsly... Amazing talent and so down to earth
Awesome Samantha !
I wish you all the best Sam!
I love Samantha Fish
She is a lot of fun, great to see how she will just dig into a sound she wants to make it he own. Incredible to see her collection, wish she would have had her down and dirty "Fish" Telecaster, seems to have been her beginnings, thanks!
The real thing. Her style is refreshing. She loves sound for its own sake.
So sweet and easy going... and a real talent !! \m/
I love her even more now
Killer player, always seems like a cool person. Nice interview as well.
Loved this, very personal.
Great interview. Samantha is so sweet and yes, definitely a rising star!
I was waiting for that, thanks!
Cool collection! Cool gear! 😅
Fine Video ! Thanks 4 this . Greetings from Germany & Rock in🤘⭐🎸🎶
Thank you
As a young guitar student in Houston in 1966 or so, Harmony was my dream guitar.
Teacher couldn't afford the fancy stuff.
Instant fan!
Samantha is the coolest guitar player
Samantha ROCKS
Love that old Delaney Fish.
Great musician. GREAT body
Just saw her at the Narrows in Fall River Ma …blew the doors off the place 💪🏻💪🏻🔥🔥🇺🇸
Love her Sisters band as well ~ Amanda Fish
I'll be at the red bank show for sure!!!!!
I Love You Samantha Fish 😍❤🎸
I love SF and am always checking out her performances. I can relate to her use of a brass slide with low action and have taken that 1 step softer to copper slides, which I make myself. They wear out, but have such a nice touch control even with 9 guage strings tuned down to D standard.
she is so cool a real decent human being
That fuzz pedal, I'm in love!
Love this woman
Ohh cool we are around the same age and I bought my HH fender telecaster deluxe with rosewood neck in 2015 too. Mine's all black though
Sam Fish is the cream of the crop of all those “girls with guitars”. Sure, she looks great, but she more importantly, she also has a very recognisable singing voice and plays pretty good guitar, too. Interesting to hear her talk about her gear as well as her music. She really comes across as a very bright, practical working musician who has well and truly paid her dues. Respect!
patronising much
Cant wait till life gets back to normal
Honest and no ego whatsoever 👍
I wish we were neighbors and could play music all night when you are off from touring.
Samantha 💖🙏✨ 😘🎸💋 from France 🇨🇵🤙
Seems like a really cool person 👍
She is a great person.
