The “secret” custom series of the late 80s. Seriously good stuff. IU has a custom alto with all the same measurements as the standard 671 - but man it was incredible. When it came time to buy my own horn, I could never find one that played nearly as well. And those bad ass cases.
i actually recently got a 42bo with the SSP bell! Someone told me it's actually an X and not an R for the SSP bells? not sure if you can clear that up for me? it sounds fabulous in all main positions but plays REALLY weirdly in alternate positions for notes lmao.
@@AidanRitchie ah ok thanks! also would it be a 42 RBO or a BOR lol i have no idea which position these letters go LMAO or at this point since 42 players are like collectively a frat, would it be a 42 BRO?
Nice little weight, good for when you need a little bit but not a full counterweight's worth. On the sterling horn, the bell makes it just a bit front heavy so it's a perfect amount.

It would be interesting to weigh both 613G and this DJM Yamaha.
You sound great on that 42.
If I still had one I would test it! Long gone now
How do the old Yamaha rotors compare to the new ones on the newer 835 Zenos and the Doug Yeo model?
835 aint where it at but the 835D is where it at.
Honestly, this 8130 plays and sounds better in every way than an 830 and 835, including valve register. 835D is very different but on par in some ways

They are slightly different but I'm not sure if they get a different letter, actually

@@NotSkilledHere I'd say it's a BOR, thought a BRO would be the funniest
