If we confess our sin He is faithful to forgive us. He lived a sinless life on our behalf. He died on the cruel cross so we would die eternally, but have everlasting life. It was slimy, ugly, cruel, and the perfect example of what the party had become - a disgusting mire of power-hungry callousness.
