    WOW! Yours is so happy! pleeeeease do a video about your leaf/bug prevention spray. I've seen some leaf shine sprays online that are pretty pricey so I'd love to make my own alternative.

    My regal shield is about the size of yours. It adds a great tropical vibe to my living room. I used to give it high light until I discovered, like you mentioned, that it doesn’t need that. Thanks for sharing.

    This was first large alocasia and I’ve really enjoyed its color , texture, and ease of care. It’s on its 2nd season outside on my front porch where it’s thriving. If you like Regal Shield you’re going to love Metalhead. This one gets really big. I have a northeast facing patio and it’s going to love the morning sun there.

    My husband added Alocasia Regal Shield to my plant family today. Thank you for your video. I started with Bambino, added and propagated an Azlanii, but this big leaf beauty has taken the cake today. OMG the back of the leaf...I'm done.

      @@GreenManGrow7 I might. The leaves are 1' plus. They are 2' tall now. Most pots had 3-4 in them.
      Inside with the indoor plants they were selling juvenile ones 1' tall for 14.99$ I'd go check your local Lowe's. I'm west of Seattle

    I need help😭😭
    So mine has a hole in one of the leafs, a new one just had grown but its not the deep green, its a pale yellow, (I noticed that it was dying cuz of too much water, I could be wrong though) n the other one is starting to turn yellow too, also I had to cut 3 down cuz they turned yellow/brownish n without knowing i sort of just pulled the dead one out, rather than pruning. (I learned that I was supposed to prune once it was done though) Also since I saw that it was dying cuz of too much water (I think I searched up a bit) n had to repot twice now
    At this point wat do I do? I had to cut 3 down, n did it the wrong way, n I have 3 that r currently drying on me too im completely lost now

    • @GreenManGrow7
      @GreenManGrow7  2 года назад

      To much water will brown and yellow the leaves. If the soil medium is still wet, try repotting it. Make sure the medium is well draining. perite, peat moss, orchid bark. try that. if when you look at the leaves any are browning or black, cut them off, then repot

      Dilute rubbing alcohol, spray it and make sure no direct sun is hitting it (liquids can magnify light, & burn). Also I use NATURAL organic/plant-based baby wipes on all my plants, inside or outside, to get dust and pests off. It's a good way to wipe off the whole plant, and get anything you can't see... an added bonus is that the leaves are glossy and shiny after. And it works even better than any weird "Leaf Shine" chemical, if you see at some shops their plants look unnaturally shiny? Baby wipes do the trick and wipes the bugs and dirt off too.
