My diffuser makes a small noise as well but I'm not irritated with it, just you'll get used to the sound it makes as the fan noise it's just a fan noise you'll get used to it and it'll quiet down over how long you'll use it or something I've only used mine for a couple days

Does it actually heat the Water? as amazon refers to Auto Off Feature as a Safety so it wont Overheat? Yet most All Have a Simple Auto Off and Don't make Mention IT Being As an Added Safety Feature as One Of The 5 In 1 Features its Titled, its would make anyone wonder if its with advanced heating of the Water? or Just a BS Gimmick WRITTEN By Some dingbat as a bs catchy Sales hook Ploy? Please Let us Know which Truth You can PLEASE Find Out on This Subject THANK YOU in Advance and Nice Video Review 😃
I know it's been a while since you commented, but just in case you didn't get an answer from somewhere else, it is quiet. A friend of mine has this unit and I never hear it running while I'm over there and I sit right under the counter it's sitting on.
eliza_thunderbird u may need to make the water a little bit warmer! or you may have put too much water in! just a thought. don’t know if that will help:)
If you want it cycling for the different colors on its own just press the light button once and it will cycle through the colors on its own and when you press the button second time when it's color changing you can stop it on the color while it's changing through colors. Just be alert that the color cycle option only goes on when you have the light mode off and you want to turn it on just press it once and it will go through just like what I did when I was confused that it wouldn't

Not sure what you mean by that? There is no lining on this unit. Is yours maybe a little different than mine?

Does it cause mold?
Yes, if you leave water sit stagnant in it. Always remove water when not in use and you will be fine!
