Rest in peace, Richard Sherman. Thank you for giving us this joyous anthem to sing as we march into tomorrow.
I just realized remember it being called back in side effects from Walt Disney world and Disneyland Disney channel on 90s TV's show episode season of episode story of a unique style stomac feature feature
@@derekllewellyn6663 w song
The carousel of progress is probably one of the best rides at magi kingdom just because of the significance and uniqueness
I love it so much honestly
If they announce its closure, I'll chain myself to it. 😆
Yes, I love so much this ride, bring me beautiful memories.
agreed
C
I used to think the animatronics were actors on this attraction. This song blew me away the first time. Good job Disney
This is one of the most underrated rides in all of the parks. I have a big fear of them closing down this ride like they do with all my favorite rides. Malestrom, Stitch is seasonal now, Half of Hollywood Studios is closed and being eaten up by star wars and toy story, Streets of America in general, Dream Finder Journey through imagination. The list goes on.
Eliza Hamilton This is one of Walt’s original attractions, I don’t think they will close it.
Same I love this ride with a burning passion, but as the other person stated it’s a classic I doubt it will be taken down.
Even “The Great Movie Ride” closed last year! It was so sad they closed “Snow White’s Scary Adventures” (one of my favorite rides I rode there since I was so little.)
Eliza Hamilton so my best friend/MOH works for the mouse and she said it's one of, or is, the last ride(s) that Disney worked on. (I can't remember which one it was). Because of that, there is no plan to remove it. To a lot of Imagineers and Disney cast members, that is Disney.
Stitch is forever closed now
This song always makes me feel good.
Me too.
I agree because this song had a great feeling in it
And me ❤️
Agreed
Same here
I’m going to sing this to my future child as a lullaby
I would sing this song to my kid if they are having trouble figuring out how to build or do something complicated
My kids weren’t pleased to hear this.
@@lesliegoodman-malamuth9796 Tell your kids I don’t give a shit
@@revolutionine Heh. They’ll be devastated by your indifference. /s
I’ve sang it to mine for years
While the '64 NY Fair will always be remembered by most for IT'S A SMALL WORLD, GE's CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS for me was the greatest wonder of our 2-day visit! No one had ever seen anything like it! Similar to SMALL WORLD, featured in the Carousel theater was this tune, the other of the 2 "earworms" from the Sherman Brothers, which plays in my head even today. I still remember EVERY word 60 years later!
I don't know that we have seen everything the GE script promised back then, but one thing is for sure - that song fulfilled its promise: there is a GREAT BIG, beautiful tomorrow - and it's just a dream away!
Thank you Walt R & R Sherman, and GE....
Funny story how went on the band trip to Disney in high school . My friends and I went on this ride and and it got stuck. We ended up seeing the same decade like four times . Would you believe me and my friend Amanda were singing this non stop for the rest of the week . Our best inside joke to the kids and I that were on this .
I had a similar experience a long time ago
THE EXACT SAME THING AHPPENED TO US OMG WE GOT STUCK TOO AND OUR ENTIRE GORUP MADE THIS OUR THEME SONG FOR THE TRIP😂
Same happened to me this summer we got stuck and had to watch the first screen for ages
Lolol we had to rewatch the first decade and we were so afraid of that happening 😂
This song is an earworm just like It's a Small World!
Rip walt disney (1901-1966) You will be missed
I like how they added this song in Tomorrowland
T-Money Maker Naturally. This song pretty much sums up the idea of Tommorrowland. Such an underrated classic song
they did?
@leilani_mm Has to be. I can't think of any other place I heard it from.
I’ve been EXTREMELY fortunate to have a father that worked so hard, bone breakingly so, and fortunately he has taken us all to Disney atleast once every two years, it’s a family tradition to go in this twice, once when we go to magic kingdom in the morning, and before we leave.
I’m going to continue to work hard like him, and hope everyone has a great big beautiful tomorrow!
Same with my parents they take me to Disney every couple of years and my mum loves this have a great big beautiful tomorrow aswell 👍
I despise the company for how steep the paywall has become. The parks were never meant to be a "business". They're a beautiful escape from the rat race we call life and literally everyone deserves to experience the magic contained within it's walls. Heading down for the first time since ALL the bullshit this week. Fretful over the nature of the experience but I'll be damned if I'm letting anyone or anything get in the way of soaking in the magic.
Big ups to both our fathers, and all like them, especially for the sacrifices they've made that haven't necessarily always been acknowledged.
Of everything in all the parks, the carousel of progress is easily my favorite and has been even from a young age. There's such an unmistakable charm and warmth the ride exudes.
Low-key Walt is a big personal hero, one who's legacy will almost certainly never die.
I hope people don’t forget what Walt Disney really wanted, Disneyland is a place of imagination, a place of wonder. It’s not about pop culture, it’s about the well-being of mankind. If we went by Walt’s example, then every day, truly would be a great big beautiful tomorrow.
Maybe at some point. Hasn't been that way in a long while. A very long while.
Waltuh
@@axjagfilms Jessie, we gotta cook Jessie
But did he really wanted Disneyland to feel too girly to everyone’s eyes because all I see were too many princesses, and not much men that I used to know.
I truly wish the world got to experience his vision for Epcot back when he was trying to bring it to fruition. It would have put "The Line" to shame.
It's so depressive the reality we've been stuck with, I really hope they take him off ice soon. We need Walt back.
The theme of procrastinators.
Lmao underrated comment
I’m reading this while procrastinating school work
Procrastinating on-shift.
Been an easy night, in my defense.
Just a dream away!
I really love the Carousel of Progress ride
There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of every day
There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
And tomorrow's just a dream away
Man has a dream and that's the start
He follows his dream with mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true for you and me
So there's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of every day
There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
Just a dream away
This is basically my coping method for not having the money or time to spend at Disney World.
Mine’s playing Disney Magic Kingdoms, but with not having the money or time to go to Disneyland.
@@robertsimon2885 Same
RIGHT HAHA
Maybe you don’t have the money or time now, but remember, there’s always a great big beautiful tomorrow! You’ll make it one day 😊
We always go on a budget. Package deals are pretty good. Get a room with a total kitchen. Prob spent $3000 total. 1 week stay. Get groceries instead of dining out.
This songs so happy and great. It made me cry the first time I heard it. Rex Allen is a true legend
I cried listening to this because it brings back memories of when I was 10 and I went to Disney with my grandma and grandpa and we are preparing to go again with them but they are getting older and I loved this ride
This song just gives me hope for the future.
This ride makes me cry for some reason
I love carousel of progress and this song. It's an ignored ride at magic kingdom Ik it's an old ride and it's slowly breaking down day by day. But it was walt Disney's favorite ride and it's underrated.
I enjoyed this more than anything in Disney Word. Very enjoyable
I'm sure at least some of it is the nostalgia factor, but this song is really nice to listen to
Man I make sure to visit this one every time! It's so surreal to remember this ride was built for an audience where it was be nostalgic.
As tomorrows march on, we've already reached a point where barely no one even alive can remember the era of the first stop.
Anyone else get this ad on Spotify and want to listen the full song
I imagine Baymax takes interest for the carousel of progress.
This was based on "Step in the right direction" in Disney's "Bedknobs and Broomsticks".
I think it's the other way around since this was about 5 or 6 years before. But yes they sound very similar! The main theme to the '63 movie, also done by the Sherman Bros., Summer Magic also sounds very similar to those 2 themes; though in a much slower timing and in a minor key.
RIP Richard Sherman
I remember this vividly, booming through multiple Altec A7 Voice of the Theaters (the Altec factory was right next door, one reason Disney was a captive customer) in the new GE Carousel of Progess in 1964. It was Disney's extensive use of multichannel high fidelity audio throughout Disneyland that got me interested in audio recording and reproduction, and it provided me with a very wonderful career. It was sad for me to see Altec-Lansing fall down, and GE become a mismanaged morass under "Neutron Jack" Welch, but, hey, that's "progress!"
Love this song so much, so many fond memories. We went on the carousel of progress just to get out of the sun, but it was one of my favorite things about Tomorrowland
The Sherman Brothers sure where great at writing songs that get stuck in ones head.
Love 💕 this song 🎶 🥰🧸. Love 💕 the classic.
Between this and the mine train of nature's wonderland, it is truly the best! That and the roid where they shrunk you down to the size of a snowflake and putting you through a microscope. I loved those rides as a kid even though I have only been on them once
"theres a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of everyday" cuts to all the horrible moments in history like ww2, vietnam war, cold war, and probation
I went to Disneyland for summer break one year, and the first day we were there, this song was playing when we got into the park, and when we left the park, completely different times of day. I thought it was our theme song
It's always in mah head😂😂
Still?
Same
this ride SO underrated and enjoyable, in my top 5's. highly recommended ^-^
It’s a must-do for our family every time.
Listening to this song gives me a little smile every time
I remember on my senior trip magic kingdom was the first day, but let me paint the picture. we had to be at the school at 3 am, our flight was at 6 am, and we were leaving from philadelphia so that’s only about 2 hours and some change, so naturally none of us went to sleep the night before. After a few hours in the park we were exhausted and the only answer to our fatigue was this the carousel of progress. I know walt didn’t intend for it to be like this but you can take a hell of a nap on this ride 😂
Imagine if they put this in the new Fantastic Four movie
RIP to this song’s co-composer Richard M. Sherman.
They should play this song in the MCU Fantastic Four movie.
I heard this on a Disney commercial 🥰💙🥰 Googled it! Love it .love love love
I really miss the ride. I need it in times like this more than ever, i’ll always love it ❤️.
“Man has a dream, and that’s a start.
He follows his dream with mind and
heart!
But when it becomes a re-a-lit-ee,
It’s a dream come true for you and
me!
So it’s a great big beautiful tomorrow
Shinin’ at the end of every day!
A great big beautiful tomorrow
Just a dream away…”
My favourite ride of all time, absolutely timeless!
Love This Song ❤
I really think that it is so beautiful and so lovely song video in the whole world 🌼.
I love the carousel of progress! I went through the attraction probably five or six times when I was there at Disneyworld in 2010.
i just got home and this was my overall fave
Awwww this makes me so happy wow I have goosebumps 💖💗💓💝💘💖💗
I went on this for the first time months ago. I loved it!
This song makes me miss Disneyland Sm 😭
I went to Disney World Magic Kingdom a few months ago on the ride and now this song is stuck in my head 💀
Same as the small world song it's been in my head since 2014😂
TAKE ME BACK TO DISNEY ☹️
yo this song is fucking lit
This music is beautiful
I wish the future that the 1950s predicted was real
yeah there's a great big beautiful year in 2021 with out the virus out brake.
Hello I am future human in 2021
mutation
love this song
My favorite version of this song.
I would have been so happy if they kept this ride in Disneyland "Carousel of Progress" is meant to be in Tomorrowland...its kind of a tragedy that they replaced it with failures like Innoventions and Launch bay; I never got to see it when it was here in California. However, I went to WDW last year, and it was the best thing IN Magic Kingdom IMO, right next to Haunted Mansion. There's something about that old school Imagineering effect that can't be dolled up by tech and cool animatronics. Like yeah, Rise of the Resistance is neat, but I don't feel as much love. Call me old fashioned, but these rides hit hard in the feels and I couldn't help but cry. I love the Sherman Brothers and the fact this was a Walt Disney Original that made Disneyland unique.
The worst part about this image is that I now realize mickey's head isn't symmetrical.
The Carousel of progress ride at Disney world brought me to this song
Favourite ride
love the pfp
The ride wasn't the best but this damn song got stuck in my head. 3 weeks out of Disney and I randomly sing it lol
SAME!!!! LOL 😂
I went to Disney yesterday and this song is stuck in my head
I could swear at first i thought this was Frank Sinatra
Ma Med I thought it was Bing Crosby.
Greatest ride ever,
I’m going to Disney for my birthday and this is the first song on my playlist
I love this song
Disney Tomorrowland Imagination Universe! There A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow Song!
THERE A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW SONG! 🎤🎶🎶🎶🎶
love this 😍😍
❤❤❤
I am going there in May. It's just a dream away...
I’m pretty sure this is the one and only ride Walt did not want closed. Even thought the Great Movie Ride was closed at MGM/Hollywood Studios. Such a shame for a park that was built on movies…
The orchestration is sooooooooooooooooooo good. Can anybody send me a copy of the orchestral score of this recording, if not, I'll make one by ear.
Ngl I love this song
You Wanna Know The Crazy Part Is That I’ve Heard This Song At Universal Orlando’s Cabana Bay Resort I Can’t Believe They Would Play A Disney Song At Universal
Happy 60th anniversary Carousel of progress
I came from DSNY Newscast! Sometime in 2021 they will be adding a Walt Disney animatronic in the introduction scene before the first scene!!!!! That is a big dream come true!!!!!
TrollsandRen&StimpyFanatic 2004 you realize that was an editorial, right? It was his argument that they SHOULD add it. Not a news report that they are...
Oh
FINALLY, OH MY GOSH!
Best ride ever ngl
no question
Can you make a song there is a great big beautiful yesterday?
What would Walt think his tomorrow became
Gisnep classics
I’ve been hearing talk about them changing it to a WandaVision ride but I kind of don’t want that
last time i rode this, it stopped halfway through the transition for like 2 minutes so we got to see a lot more (infinite progress)
My Mad it automatically stops when someone stands up because of the death that occurred on one of the versions of the ride. It’s an extra safety precaution x3 when I went on it the guy specifically kept saying it was a 20 minute ride and if we didn’t have 20 minutes, then get off
This is like space music
What year was this CD made? I remember listening to it with my mother as a child. Its gotta be made in the 90s at least? I know these songs are way older than that. But what year was this CD made?
Too bad we have to say goodbye..
Am I crying ummmm yes
I'm here because i was watching the Disney documentary on Disney+ and heard this song, so i typed the lyrics o' ytb and found this video
Everybody is talking about 'the carousel of progress' and i thought it was a movie.
Turn out it's an attraction and we don't have it in France :/
I feel like the guy is actually a time lord
He’s immortal
take me back ☹️☹️
Is this Bing Crosby? It’s great to hear it in his voice. Pretty sure it isn’t the version the play on ride
Henry DuRocher sorry to break it to you but this is Rex Allen not Bing Crosby sorry
Yeah it’s not the same version
“If”
0:29 ur welcome
This doesn’t sound like the same version you hear in the attraction
Who's here after the new mickey mouse show on Disney plus?
Yeeeesssss
The 1960s was so positive towards the future, what happend to the world?
I have to admit, I do miss the old future.
The 60's happened.
