Yea can’t Beat the old Aussie Alvey guys. Capt frank is onto it. It’s a huge drop to the water not much cliff clearance so big old heavy butterworth rods and Alveys are the go to for this job. Dead lifting 4kg salmon is a test of your gear. I’ve snapped big name rods and killed reels doing this. The old Alvey has never let me down.
