I think what made 4th Degree taboo was firstly the fact that the heroine was only 19 and the coach was 36. He struggled with the fact that she was still a teenager and the power dynamic with her being a student at his gym and him in an authoritative role. In the world of MMA it was brought up in the book and I think women who spend time in these spaces mainly led by men are subjected to a certain level of sexual harassment. The coach has a stellar reputation and does outreach working with teens. He didn't want it to look like he was using his platform to hunt for teenage girls.
I don’t know why it just didn’t feel taboo to me. It was probably my mood! lol I started off really enjoying it and then about half way through I lost interest. 🤷♀️
I love that The heroine in Hans was equally as crazy about him as he was for her =) It was a good read
