    In English

Inspired by Rumi poetry and guided by my father's memory, I’ve learned that peace, like a garden, demands patience, care, maintenance and unwavering love.

Non- Negotiation act - Begging for Peace. "While gurus, podcasters, social activists, and bloggers debate war, conflict, and personal drama on big stages and digital screens, I prefer quieter places.
To me, these discussions can sometimes feel like fashionistas talking about clothes without knowing how to handle a needle. Just as I have the skill to craft my perfect 'dress' in beauty and craft, I understand the profound complexity and real-world consequences of advocating for peace.
Peace-how much does it cost? In the gardens and greenery of New England, I often ask my U.S. friends, "Do you realize what you have?" This question underscores my gratitude for the peace and beauty here, contrasting sharply with turmoil elsewhere. Conversely, I ask my tribal Shugni friends in Pamir, Tajikistan, “Do you understand the cost of sipping shirchai ( tea with milk) with homemade bread and the purest butter, sitting on the floor, chatting, and laughing? Do you grasp the value of having food on the table?”
Imagine a world where those who discuss peace truly grasp its cost-not just in words, but in action and sacrifice. My experiences have taught me that real peace requires more than talk; it demands genuine dialogue, empathy, and practical solutions. From that of Rumi Garden view point.
    Rumi's Garden
I remembered a powerful quote from Mawlana Rumi: "Somewhere beyond right and wrong, there is a garden. I will meet you there." For me, this garden symbolizes peace.
Inspired by Rumi's wisdom, I creating a podcast about peace. The process was emotional, filled with tears and cherished memories of my late father. Peace has always been a cornerstone in my life, especially considering the histories of Central Asia,Tajikistan, Afghanistan, my memory of 9/11, and the Middle East and all spin of those who battle with conflict zones.
    The Pursuit of Peace
In these turbulent times, I often feel like a beggar for peace. Peace isn’t a commodity you can buy or impose; it requires constant care and nurturing, much like a gardener tends to roses. My experiences with conflicts/ war /grieving and new beginnings have solidified this understanding.
    Salam,
In my tribal family, peace is more than just a state of being; it is a blessing we extend as we enter the home with the words "Salamu-Aleikum," an upbeat, energetic greeting. As we part ways, we say "Waalekum bar Salam," wishing peace upon each household both in and out of the house. This tradition reflects the Abrahamic traditions of entering the house with greetings of Shalom. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also practiced entering homes with greetings of peace, embodying a blessing of peace brought to the house.
This practice is deeply embedded in our daily Tarbiya (Parenting), where children are consistently encouraged to greet others with peace. While such rituals may seem outdated compared to the simplicity of "hi" and "bye" in modern times, I argue that if we do not incorporate the exercise of peace-making in our daily routines and symbolic practices, where else will we learn or impart gestures of peace? It starts from small actions, doesn’t it?
What rituals of peace do you practice in your life?
