I would gladly pay full price for a full game like this. Especially if it allowed compositions from the community on top of a decent amount of selections from all eras of music (polyphonic chant, baroque, romantic, modern, erc)
Well that is what Maestro VR is supposed to be but honestly in my opinion Maestro Masterclass has a far better gameplay system. Maestro VR leans too much into simulation compared to this one and it really ruins things for me
If you could have an option to control the tempo with your baton, so you’d have to use the correct movements to keep everyone in time. Optional so people that didn’t want it can do without.
I hope that double Jack expands on this concept to a full game. It would be excellent to be able to conduct everything from Glenn Miller's "In the Mood" to Holst's "The Planets" to Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture". This could be the Guitar Hero for classical lovers.
Ummm Maestro Masterclass in free on Oculus's app (not the pc Oculus app but the mobile one.) I think you are mixing Masterclass with Maestro vr which is 20 dollars
I took 3 conducting classes when earning my degree in composition and they were never this interactive. 🤣 Maybe VR will pave the way in post-secondary education! FYI: in your description you said it's a game about "orchestrating an orchestra." Not to be THAT guy, but "orchestrating" as a verb refers to the compositional process of arranging a piece of composed music for an orchestra. "Conducting an orchestra" is the appropriate phrase. 🙂
wow ! It hit me so hard that I had tears of intense emotion at the end of the tutorial when the crescendos arrived !! Please make it a full game and i will buy it right away !
If the dev ever lets people mod this or expands (more songs, beginner - expert mode, etc), I would gladly pay for this game. I had a lot of fun even with just one song. Imagine conducting your favorite piece on a high difficulty so it really feels like youre truly keeping time and cueing everyone for everything.
not really, because with the new handtraking updated to v.2.01 everything is much more stable, sees fast movements, overlapping hands and has very little tracking loss, but it is essential to have excellent lighting in the room, this will make the difference between a mediocre tracking and good tracking that will allow you to play without tracking loss
Thanks for the video so we can see what we are getting before getting it. I wish it was more like real conducting and not this limited motion game. But still most likely will at least try it.
I found out recently they actually are turning it into a full game and they do have a list of new songs: Maestro's official launch tracklist • Wagner - The Ride Of The Valkyries • Orff - Carmina Burana • Verdi - Messa Da Requiem • Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre • Dvořák - From The New World • Prokofiev - The Dance Of The Knights • Stravinsky - The Rite Of Spring • Mussorgsky - Night On A Bald Mountain • Ellington - Caravan • Levy - Whiplash • Prima - Sing Sing Sing • Beethoven - The 5th Symphony • Tchaikovsky - Swan Lake • Mozart - Figaro’s Wedding • Mendelssohn - The Hebrides Game will be on steam and quest for $24.99
first part is dies irae and the second part is tuba mirum. They go together but sometimes looking up dies irae only gives the first half so if u want the big finale look up tuba mirum from requiem.
If anyone was wondering, these are the Dies Irae and Tuba Mirum segments from Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem.
i love you bro

Planets would be awesome. I could just imagine conducting Mars 🥰
They have now. Coming to Meta Quest on the 17 of October.
I can feel the love, passion, euphoria and satisfaction like a conductor with his work. So beautiful, I cried.
This has no right to look as epic as it does! I want this on PSVR2!
Best purchase and you learn so much... and I thought it was neat to learn what the conductors go through to keep everything in tempo. Best $20 ever

It is more realistic but imo not as fun as this one.
Will they ever add Stravinsky's Rite of Spring???
Not a clue
