According to two drivers, these new cars are significantly less reliable and less durable then the older models. They both referenced accidents like this while mentioning that they'd have to be taken completely out of service for something that would only lead to a bump and scratched paint on the older cars. Also these new cars are heavier and struggle with turning while damaging the track network.
Why ban cars when they go to places faster than transit in Toronto. Transit has to stop and pickup irrelevant people therefor making the transit trip take longer.

38 ton Streetcar sustained a cracked windshield and some minor paint damage.
I hope he's ok.
