My "happy show" I can escape to. Only Noel can be this batshit insane and surreal yet welcoming and familiar at the same time. You either love or hate this kind of thing, but it is right up my alley.

Hilarious show. It's considered absurd and surrealist comedy and it is, at that. Though sobriety is your enemy, watching this one. It certainly isn't the Boosh, but the show's got some real gems in all the weirdness. If you've seen Noel Fielding's standup, this is very much an extension of that.
Oh man - I just re-watched this whilst writing a story about a large cat in a zoo who develops cage anxiety and paces. Due to this synchronicity, Dondelion made me cry. =/
I feel like I've stepped into an acid trip in noel's weird ass mind. I love the bit with the moon, that cracked me up. Personal opinion: I think he needs julian. He needs someone to bounce off of. Noel by himself is a little overwhelming. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE noel's comedy, really I do, but him by himself is going to take some getting used to. Thanks for posting this!
As a mighty boosh superfan in my teens I discovered Luxury Comedy seemingly by accident while tripping on DXM in my bathroom when I was 19. I watched the whole thing and the animated film Gandahar and they both had a special place in my melted brain after that
i found a website where i can watch e4 online live, so i watched this yesterday at 4pm lol such a good show!! i love noel's humor and the psychedelic style of the show! can't wait for next thursday!
This show is absolute genius. It manages to be surrealistic and weird without being pretentious nor dull; rather than that, it's genuinely funny, charming and artistic. A wonderful trip into Noel's uniquely twisted mind. Too bad there aren't any English subtitles for this show out there. I would love to translate it into Spanish so that more people can watch it. If anyone ever makes some subtitles for this show, let me know!
It was bittersweet to see the Moon, but I think Dondylion and Roy Circles add an emotional depth to this. I think those characters are somewhat representative of Noel himself. I love Noel and respect his artistic vision independent of the Boosh. Looking forward to more Luxury Comedy.

God I love Noel so much, I think he's an incredible creative mastermind. I watched this earlier in the year and loved it and I tried to show it to my friends and they found it a bit too psychedelic for their liking. I recently watched The Mighty Boosh (something I'd been meaning to watch for a long time) and adored it and decided to come back here. I love it even more than the first time I watched it and have a better understanding and appreciation for the art it is.

Noel may use the same voices for characters as he always has-but how much can someone twist their voice-seriously? He does a huge variety of sounds and voices and his creations are so off the wall and insane...I LOVE the Boosh, and this is a close second to that. Boosh will always be the best to me-but as a comedian goes-Noel is on his own level with craziness and acid-induced skits.

Me too. This show speaks to my intoxicated self. I'm really feeling this. I think you need to be under the influence to fully appreciate this show. I'd be sad if this was the last Noel Fielding output. He's criminally underrated but speaks to me more than any other media person out there.

It is really difficult to cross so many boundaries and have it make make sense enough to be funny. Try it, it ain't easy. Some of the references are extremely obscure and erudite.(Moondog anyone?) If people can't get it, its because their minds are constrained and constipated.
This is what my brain feels like with ADHD and being an artist, the Julian's in my life balance me out for sure but sometimes it's fun to just go all out

Julian and Noel are not Siamese Twins... they just have a comedy chemistry together that is amazing and paradoxically mostly due to how similar they view comedy at it's core but how very differently they go about it in their individual expressions of it. The Boosh had something for *everyone* . the differences between Noel and Julian (Vince and Howard) were so funny because as different as they were, they fit together perfectly. as absurd as things got, you still believed it enough to go with it. a show with *only* Julian would be just as hilarious and genius as this, but in *his* own unique way (i get the feeling that it would be much more satirical and grounded, but grounded not quite in a practical way). and would probably get similar complaints that it 'needs Noel', i really think people were thinking "Boosh 2.0" in their expectations of this show, which it couldn't be. Noel brings all of the hyper-fantastic and hyper-imaginative un-grounded comedy in and so that is what this show IS. when you get past comparing it or pouting about Julian, i honestly think this Series is one of the best (though unfortunately way too short) ingeniously hilarious shows i have ever seen. which is quite an accomplishment because it DOES get very 'out there' at times, but Noel has a talent for making the most absurd things seem relatable and you genuinely connect to the characters no matter how bizarre they are because there is always that grain of Noel in them. Cheers Noel, genius!
This. I think the reason why alot of artists often have alot of aborted projects is because people always expect them to recreate their previous magnus opus.
This is genius! every sketch ... the swiss cheese a tank at war, the cooking show with contestants landing on the moon, the chocolate character everyone hates, the rough and posh gash.. and best of all pele! :D i admit some of this is a bit far taken, as noel thought it was funnier or more interesting.. like the octopus.. but, if noel hadn't done that then a lot more people would understand the genius of him

I actually didn't think it was particularly weird - at least not weird for weird's sake - and certainly not 'horrible'! I thought it was brilliant, lively, generous and joyful. And funny as - like the man himself. Dandylion was full of pathos and the recurring Pele gag was delightful. I'm already developing a love/hate relationship with the bereaved chocolate finger PE teacher. How lucky are we to be around to see it? (ans: very). Even I appreciate the chaos and randomness of his ideas and skits. All the music is catchy and well, he just does random perfectly. Simply.
