Reminds me of when I first came across the Mighty Boosh, forget how old I was but it completely blew me away. It was the episode from the second series where the spirit of jazz is trapped inside a Hoover hunting down Howard as he’s in a 80’s synth band. Absolutely bonkers and I laughed so hard I cried. Only found the show years later. No one believed me it existed.
@@PussInBoot414 Mighty Boosh was absolutely god tier and gave Noel Fielding the footing to create this series. If Mighty Boosh had never happened, we probably wouldn't even know Noel existed, let alone for him to become as massive as he did. +n/a n/a I agree.. I love watching as much of the behind the scenes footage of him I can find. He seems like such a genuine, kind, truly unique person. Wow....that final statement is pretty deep, and I sympathize completely. As grateful as I am for many things in reality, I find myself wondering if a fantasy world would be much MUCH better than this one... (maybe, maybe not). I nearly cried at seeing Alice weeping by the rabbit hole!! How sad was that?! (but altogether a funny and awesome episode, don't get me wrong!)
Now you know why so many young people love roleplay romance videos of self inserts with main characters of shonen anime. Watching this in 2018 after getting into Boosh really late, I'm sad that series one got such a bad rap - it's not that out there for 2018 and the best moments - the birthday skit, me and my flamingo, the jelly fox - are even better than boosh for me. Series 2 seems a lot more laboured, like his heart wasn't totally in the format change and it seems like a lot of the plots - having to write a proper ending to save their one fan, a reality tv show taking over the island - are just him trying to process how people hated the first series. IMO the characters suffer from the new context and he doesn't seem willing to go to the dark places he normally goes to. I can understand how people have the opposite opinion since this is way more accessible and series 1 was uneven, but I'd love to see another show in the style of series 1.
