Great video love your videos! I see I'm not the only yellow tomato lover in the bunch. Last year I had a golden jubilee that was very ripe and possibly the best tasting tomato I've ever had? I'm an old truck driver and I used to haul tomatoes and they're nothing like what you grow in your garden. The tomatoes you buy in the store are never going to be ripe! But fully ripened heirloom tomatoes are the best.
So in your opinion is jubilee the best yellow slash orange tomato to grow? Is it productive/- producing prolifically? Disease resistant not cracking? I just am growing orange for first time. I sowed seeds from hillbilly, yellow Brandywine, big rainbow, and Mr stripey. I have heard some of these like Mr stripey are not good producers pause the seedlings don't look that great so far when compared to my red varieties, so getting nervous, - thinking to buy jubilee seedlings
You should look into growing the Cream Sausage Tomato. It's a determinate plum tomato that grows about 3 ft high, looks spindly, but can produce a lot of 3" tomatoes. It's sweet and a bit fruity. I like it because it produces quickly and is fairly compact.
I'm growing 2 of them this year from seeds and so far i have flowers. I never tried one before. They sound good the way you described them sweet and fruity. Thanks!
I never heard of some of these varieties before, but I’m guessing that Kellogg’s Breakfast was probably a parent of your first one in this group, Meat Breakfast.
Great video! Have you tried Amish Gold Slicer? It is my favorite yellow tomato so far, the flavour is simply amazing. For next year i'll try to get my hands on some yellow Simpson seeds!
I just looked it up since Amish paste tomatoes are one of my favorites and discovered that the Amish Gold is actually a hybrid of my all-time favorite, the Sungold grape tomato, and the Amish paste. That looks outstanding!
Nice I just grown some looking forward to tasting it I planted the mixture of red tomatoes and orange and yellow and I believe purple what does the purple one taste like and the yellow one taste like sweet tart?
So is that your favorite yellow orange tomato even compared to yellow Brandywine, lemon boy, golden jubilee Mr Stripey and trip L crop? I want one or two yellow or orange to round out my all my reds. But I also want something that's really prolific.
Beautiful tomatoes. Best tasting yellow for me is the pineapple, followed by Virginia sweets. Not impressed with highly reviewed Lillian yellow or apricot. Dr Wyche, Kellogg breakfast, siberian king, illini gold paste, orange strawberry, dad's sunset, azoychka are so so. I haven't tried most of the featured tomatoes here.
I grew the Big Yellow Simpson this year too, but I think mine were a bit different compared to yours. Way more ribbed and flat, and the flesh and particularly the skin are a bit hard, not very smooth. Taste was okay, not special. Maybe the variety is not very stable? Got the seeds from Tomatotifou.
Tomato fifou says they have it. Also it's of unknown origin. So it could very well be a Kelloggs breakfast that someone didn't know and just renamed it.
Your videos are beautifully done. I really enjoy watching them. I could look at tomatoes all day.
Thank you very much! 🙂I could talk about tomatoes all day. 😅

Only two things money can't buy. That's true love and homegrown tomatoes!

Great video! I’m learning so many varieties on heirloom tomatoes. I’m currently growing Black Krim, and Genuwine. So far they are growing well.
Thank you for sharing. Please make a video about Sweet TOMATOES with No tangy or acidic Taste. Thank you ❤❤

I grew some golden gates that were as sweet as grapes. I now know why they sat tomatoes are a fruit. Real tomatoes are amazing.
I never heard of some of these varieties before, but I’m guessing that Kellogg’s Breakfast was probably a parent of your first one in this group, Meat Breakfast.
This may well be true. I'm growing potato leaf version of that Kellogg's Breakfast this year, which is called KBX, and can't wait to try it! 🙂
Great video! Have you tried Amish Gold Slicer? It is my favorite yellow tomato so far, the flavour is simply amazing. For next year i'll try to get my hands on some yellow Simpson seeds!
Thank you for the tip! I've heard of this variety, but never grew it. Maybe I'll do it next season. 🙂

Well, the taste can be so different, it depends much on the variety that you choose to grow 🙂
You need to try… Mikado Yellow!!! Amazing!!!! Mikado Pink, are also amazing!!!
What would be your recommendations for container growers? Preferably nothing with too big of fruit.
It's better to try some dwarf varieties such as Uluru Ochre, Wild Fred, Striped Antho or Kookaburra Cackle. Or any other dwarf.
What no Hillbilly that's a great yellow one
I haven't grown it yet, but thank you for the advice!

@@beverlycharles6534yep it's similar to pineapple and gold🏅
Pineapple pig will be a favorite if you grow it. Yellow deliciousness.

One of my favourite is Dr. Wyche but somehiw this year, they are not excellent like in other years
Same situation with Dr Wyche's Yellow this year 😬
@@LUCKYGARDENTOMATOES where are you? I'm in Portugal and the temperatures this year we're too high. Maybe it's a more temperate climate tomato.
I'm in Belarus, so the temperature is much cooler here.
@@LUCKYGARDENTOMATOES so, my idea that it was the temperature, does not stand. I will try again Dr.Wyche because it's really my first 3 favourite
Do you have a seed store
Not yet, sorry.
How about amana orange?
That one is good.

It's an heirloom, so I don’t really think it's not stable.
Where can i get Meat Breakfast seeds
Can't find it anywhere
Google tells me that you can find them on Etsy
Thank you so much for your reply
@@LUCKYGARDENTOMATOESEtsy don"t have meat breakfast. Can't find it anywhere
I wish I could help you 🙂

Still looking for help with purchasing seeds for the varieties you feature?
You can try to find some of them on victory seeds for example 🤔
You didn’t have Dr Wyche’s
Well, it was good, but not the best.
Dixie golden giant is the best yellow
It is really good, but it's hard to call it the best one, because there are so many delicious yellow tomatoes 😬
