  • This is the Schwartzman meat packing company located in the south valley in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This slaughter was open in the 1950's and shut down in the mid 1980's. The property was own by the Schwartzman's family for many generations and was sold to be re-developed. But it never was. It has been sitting, abandoned, rotting away in the hot sun of New Mexico. join Buggs as he explores this slaughter house.

I know of one slaughterhouse left. Used to pick up meat from there for sysco. I'd like to say it was up in mountainair, but it's been such a long time I can't say for certain. Cool video, thanks for sharing.

I went there with a girl a few years ago. She told me this whole story about German WWII POWs that were forced to work there. Not a bad night when we went poking around ;).

I would call this place the shop of horror's. I remember driving by this place in the seventies and there was a strong stench smell that made me sick.

I've been there. Didn't know the history of it. the rail cars look really old. Wonder when they were set up and converted to buildings.
