This was such a joke. Scopely just trying to make a buck and gas light us with “there’s no good solution but look at the legacy reel!” Neither the free claim nor the offers include gold and power cores which were part of the initial milestones that got exploited.
The "missing" gold doesn't concern me because the potential amount is pretty inconsequential. But the fact that people who bought something initially still got whatever it was they bought, plus got the compensation. Compare that to a person who has to buy an offer to gain the missing resources. These offers are a joke. Just buy a battle/strike pass if you're thinking about buying one of the offers.
I have seen plenty of screen shots of people who spent £20+ on ultra cores to take advantage of the bug and they have 12k+ orbs. Which contain over 12 million gold. Compensation does not even come close to that. So people who took advantage of the bug have had a huge win, just for the sake of spending £20 and buying the ultra cores, which they then just buy a battle pass or whatever. Free to plays don't win here, they are overall pushed further down the rankings by everyone who spent and took advantage. Yes they got stuff for free, but everyone did. So they gained nothing at all.
I made a spreadsheet to compare the original rewards against these offers, and unless my maths are wrong, they are an absolute slap in the face! 80%-90% of the orbs removed, including the critical training orbs, ALL L4 training modules removed (1,900 of them), and about 99% of the various catalysts removed (although those wouldn't have started to be rewarded until the $50 spend mark, so maybe that is forgiveable?) And they expect us to pay for this garbage? I don't mind paying, but the rewards should match the original rewards dollar for dollar. The exact solution is to recreate a Bang For Your Buck event with the identical rewards, and let people pay as much or as little as they want, that is the only equitable solution here that won't put a group of players way ahead of everybody else.
It something that won;t be fixed because people spend money on the ultra cores then they used that to buy things like the Strike or Battle Pass which gave them the broken milestones pretty much 2 or 3 times. Because buying the cores also count towards those milestones then when you spend the ultra cores you get even more progress on the milestones which so happen to be broken.
