One of the best videos of these trains I have ever seen. Excellent photography and sound and the walk through was excellent, never seen that before. You get five 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️. A must watch.
Thank you! I wanted to show the whole trip from Chama to Antonito and back! I highly recommend both railroads, but the Cumbres and Toltec is significantly less “touristy” than the Durango and Silverton. In my own experience, you get more out of the Cumbres and Toltec than the D&S, but to each their own! The scenery is absolutely breathtaking at both railroads and either one is an amazing experience!! Glad you enjoyed!
I tried twice to get to ride the train but due to outside forces had to leave town... the second time losing the price of the tickets... so I guess youtube will have to do.
@@RedRiverRailfan maybe.. I consider it good money after bad at this point. Unless you are retired and can stay there, without interruption, its a crap shoot....and expensive.
@@chrisniner8772 we didn’t have any issues and we only stayed in Chama 1 1/2 days. We got a small Air B&B outside of town and stayed the night before our trip

Thank you!! Please check out my channel for more!
Very nice video and happy somebody showed the inside of the restaurant. I'm going to have to go one day and ride this and the Silverton and Durango.

#488 is always my favorite steam train! I love the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. I have all DVDs
488 is one of my favorites as well! There's nothing better than Rocky Mountain Narrow Gauge Steam!
@@RedRiverRailfan I agreed! I grew up watching all the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad vhs and DVDs
Almost like really being there! Much more beautiful than the Durango - Silverton and without the person speaking. Michael
I 100% agree! Love the C&T!

That’s a shame! Maybe some day
