So I'm late to the game and saw them for the third time this week, but seeing the English lyrics has me thinking that this song was a dual meaning thing. It's about hide and seek, and playing tag, but it's also seemingly about not sexualizing the girls and just appreciating that they fucking rock. And to their or our credit, I feel like the Babymetal crowd is one of the best and most positive there is, and the most respectful of what we're getting. It's just shredding faces, and I've yet to see anybody being a creep at one of their shows Maybe I'm overthinking it and am biased, but nothing makes me happier than seeing people come out of their shows just talking about how awesome the music was, or the dancing, or both. Gives me hope for the masses, and it was amazing to bring a new person to the Fox Gods this week and read their babbling texts about how fucking fun Babymetal is all week.
it's now on my bucket list as 40 year old to go to one of their mega shows and do the dance and pirouette during the chorus with a million other Foxhole enjoyers. They're just beyond amazing, I love them and can't get enough lately.
I miss this era of babymetal, just pure fun and no care about anything, today while I would say they evolved into something more than just fun, but nothing beats that "let's see if this works and move on if not" era.

For me this was BM at their absolute best. This version of the Kami band is just on-fire. Mikio (RIP) on guitar, Boh on bass, Takayoshi on guitar, and Hideki murdering the drums. Sadly, Yui left the trio, and it is just not the same. But I still enjoy them, however, 2017 was peak BM for me.
I met you all backstage in melbourne 12 years ago the first time you came to Australia. 12 yesrs later im a huge fan but gave my ticket to my friend Dan for this Sundays show because im in Dandenong hospital, but ill be having a Babymetal video night on Sunday in tribute to this world class act who's music will live forever!! I can see that Yui's face was a bit puffier than usual, likely side effects of steroid use for treating pain. Also, her uniform was a bit larger than usual, likely to accomodate for a brace on her back (the probable reason why she couldn't bend too well at the waist).
Nobody knows for sure, but I don't think it's related to the injury. Perhaps she has diabetes or some kind of hormonal imbalance, which has led to increased weight and facial volume
I'll never get tired of seeing the average concert goer marking out for a drum solo, even though it's probably the least interesting Kami band bit. And that's not a knock on him at all, he's a fucking shredder, but like Mikio does a super original whammy bar phrased solo and nobody even cares, because here comes some double kick. I love both Kami Bands, I guess is what I'm saying. Babymetal too, but like....the Kamis just operate on a different level.
