@@joedyer8565your wrong when you lean forward when mid air when the engine is still on results into a flat landing. Which is super painful (I’ve experienced the same) but when you let the bottom of the u bolt back board land first the shock will absorb and easily land with no issues. That’s why they have wheelie mode on max vts. If you look at the trim on the motor it’s in bunny hop mode which is 1 vts lower so it’s meant to go that high for landing

Yea you NEVER want to let go especially if you go upside down or land anywhere near the ski if you do. Sounds strange but if you hold on to it you will go into the water at the same time as the ski and should be fine as long as the waters not super shallow like by a beach. A lot of stand up riders jump the waves off the beach and every spot is different as far as that. This looks deep over here but he's pretty close to i think a dock and the side coming up. He's lucky he stayed on and landed like that, that would of been a nice landing and wouldnt feel bad at all. You kind of go into the water and pop back out of the water lol, its almost like a pillow when you land like that lol..

I caught a perfect wave like this once, but at a very high speed. I flew so high that when I landed I tumbled inside the water for a good 20 seconds before I came back to the surface and could spit all the water out that I swallowed. By that point my seadoo was in another zip code, and I had a long swim back to it. The lesson here is; always wear a life jacket!! If I wasn't wearing mine, I could have drowned very easily.

He was out riding in the inlet luckily there was some wildlife officers sitting not too far away and saw him send tf out of it off some wake. He had teeth shoved up in his mouth and broke his face. If it wasn't the quick response and first aid of the officers he would of more than likely drowned if not died from the lack of a trained medical personnel.

From what I understand he sent it off a wave like this guy and landed on the face of the next couple waves back basically like hitting a brick wall.
I have broken motor mounts and cracked hulls doing stuff like that on multiple skis. Sometimes they will even stall out when you land if you get high enough and I'm not talking about the lanyard pulling out LOL. That landing must have sucked still sick though
