Marvelous presentation. I my opinion there is no greater love than to trace the steps of mom’s and dad’s experiences in WW2. I’m currently working on a photo book of my dad’s experiences on Guadalcanal 43/45. Amazing the stuff he talked about and the photos he had. I’ve been able to cross check against some primary sources and it all matches up nicely. Truly an amazing journey -

Thank you for having Myra Miller, PhD on your show. I was very interested to watch the show because my late father Walter L. Olenschlager was a private first class in the 83rd Division. Then to find out that both our fathers were in company K, 331 infantry and wounded in Gey. My father was wounded in Gey on Dec. 13, 1944 and hers on the 16th. After all these years to come upon this information is truly remarkable. Thanks to Myra while watching the broadcast I was able to find the morning report for December 14, 1944 where my father is listed as being evacuated to a field hospital. Thanks again.

Woody/Myra. What wonderful, interesting and emotional presentation. I have had a Quick Look at the archive link which is a goldmine for any historian studying Normandy. Woody, you must get Myra on again! Thanks both. Bob

I doubt that there were very many dry eyes when Myra expressed the pride and emotion of not only her father's experience, but all of the families who had ancestors present during those very trying times. I can honestly say that my own eyes were wet as well. I also appreciated her acknowledgement of the French descendants who suffered as well during these critical battles. Say what you want about the French, but these people understand honor and sacrifice in a way few can. Vive Le Normandy! Vive Le Peuple de France! I hope we can have Myra back to brief us on the rest of the story of the "Thunderbolt" Division in future. Well presented and appreciated WW2TV. Your graciousness as a host clearly showed what a gentleman you are Woody.

Well said and totally agree. I couldn't help but cry a bit, a powerful presentation and Myra's passion is admirable. Her father and the men she is honoring should be very proud of her.

Great program today that I couldn't miss. I have a personal attachment to the 83d Division--Dad's 736th Tank Bn was attached to the 83d during the Hurtgen Forest, Battle of the Bulge, and through the end of the war. We have both proudly worn the 83d Division insignia. Paul, I have never seen the insignia like on your page for this program with the green banner around the edge of the insignia. Myra great program! Paul thanks for getting to the 83d as it holds a very special place for me.

Thank you so much for doing this. I am a veteran of both the 29th and 30th Infantry Divisions, which were Maryland/Virginia and North Carolina National Guard units that fought in Normandy with great distinction. To have a British RUclips channel celebrate US divisions like this is very heartening.

An excellent presentation. As someone who has done research at the US National Personnel Records Center I admire the work Myra is doing.

So much detail, and presented in a very moving way. You can tell that Myra has in vest a huge amount of time and massive emotion in her work. What an episode.

I once hired a researcher (Geoff with Golden Arrow Research) get me copies of morning reports for my grandfather's unit... and entire months' worth were missing, presumed stolen. it was very frustrating.

A Great Topic yet she is a poor presenter. She is Jumping around with maps & not telling a story in proper or ANY order IT SEEMS. Is it a Division or Company History? Is it A NORMANDY or D-Day to the war end.
I STOPPED WATCHING BEFORE THE 1/2 way point.
